Feds Clear DeLay. He Calls Pelosi “The Swamp”
Chad Pergram | August 16, 2010

It's been a long time since former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-TX) got the chance to come out swinging in public.

But that's exactly what the feisty former GOP leader did Monday when the Justice Department told his attorneys it closed its inquiry of DeLay after a six year probe.

DeLay was his vintage himself during a telephone conference call with reporters.

"They didn't have anything," DeLay boasted. "The case was so weak I never did meet with anyone from the Justice Department and never appeared before the grand jury."

The FBI began to probe DeLay for his links for former superlobbyist Jack Abramoff. Abramoff did jail time after pleading guilty to fraud and for trying to bribe lawmakers. Former Rep. Bob Ney (R-OH) went to jail for his relationship with Abramoff.

"I never understood why it took so long," said DeLay.

While in office, DeLay was known for his abrasive style of politics that earned him the moniker The Hammer. But he swung hard at the tactics of others.

"In the new politics, it's no longer good enough to beat you on policy. They have to completely drown you and put you in prison and destroy your family and reputation and finances and dance on your grave," DeLay said.

**SNIP**

"She is the swamp," hissed DeLay of Pelosi.

The dems are bad but the rinos are worse. When a supposed ally cuts and runs they should be held to account. It destroys the morale of the troops.Bad for warfare and we are indeed involved in warfare against the rats and no, they are not Americans. They are the enemy.

The best candidates are the ones who have run their own businesses and have a respect for life.

Maybe he can get a spot on Fox News and take Whoraldo’s spot. I would love to get his opinion on the news of the day. Whoraldo, not so much,.....give me the clicker. Sponge Bob reruns are usually on Nickelodeon at night.

I heard him on Mark Levin. The sound of his voice told me that he was under a huge burden that cost him $5 million in legal fees. The same tactic they threw at him was what they tried to do for Sarah Palin. I am not sure if he is out of the water yet. Mark Levin called for raising money for a legal defense fund.

The Tom Delay story is one of heroic courage against evil that dwells in the sewers of America. The source of that sewer is from the influence of Fabian Socialism.

DeLay hurt himself when he tried to be sarcastic. The scumbag Democrat newsrooms (along with many conservative institutions, including the Heritage Foundation!) acted like he was serious. He said at one point, “There is simply no fat left to cut from the federal budget.” He was obviously joking and I believe it was out of frustration with his fellow Republicans who were acting like rats, knocking each other over at the public trough for “earmarks” and “walking around money” and the kind of ridiculous Democrat-style spending the ‘94 congress was elected to get a handle on.

Yes I remember when he told President Bush, “We have cut all the fat we can.” This was the mark of a great leader - he was the hammer and President Bush was the nail. Give us pork or get no help in Iraq. One tuff guy that Delay. Now he runs what kind of business?

It's a sad day for America when one of the most corrupt members to ever walk the halls of Congress gets a free pass.

Sounds like libel to me.
