Best Countries in the World (USA #11)

With such a huge range of nations in the world, the question of whether there is a best place to live seems both simple and elusive. With that idea in mind, NEWSWEEK offers this list of best countries. Given that there are so many ways to measure achievement, we chose the five we felt were most important--health, economic dynamism (the openness of a country's economy and the breadth of the size of its corporate sector), education, political environment, and quality of life. And because it's easier to improve quality of life if you're tiny and rich like Finland, for example, the list also accounts for income and size with rankings by subcategories. Like all lists, this one is not perfect, but it offers surprising and fascinating answers and plenty of insight into which country is healthiest, why Scandinavian countries always come out on top, and why the title of best country has more than one winner.

The 10 countries ahead of us on the list are probably bank-rolled/propped-up by the US!

Islamo-marxist propaganda organ Newsweak reports that “America sucks.”

Film at 11.

If they find a better country, they should go there.

The reason for our low ranking is perfectly clear.

We just don’t give the moochers, protected classes and “progressives” enough free sh..., I mean stuff.

Top 3:
1. Finland
2. Switzerland
3. Sweden

Not bad company to be in.
However, unlike the US, they don’t share borders with a third world latrine (Mexico), and they’re also in the process of dying (birth rate has dropped below the replacement level.).

This is just another installment in Newsweek’s highly successful marketing plan of alienating its last handful of readers.

On the bright side, newsstand sales in Albania have doubled.

Of course the “progressives” aka socialists and so-called “liberals” will look at a #11 ranking and think “we have to try harder!” Sadly misguided, they don’t realize the reason we are not #1 is because of their actions...

At least Newsweek ranks America higher than the usurper in our White House does. Obama wouldn’t put us in the top 170 on his list for any positive trait - but only because gullibility isn’t a positive.

Best Quality of Life: Middle income: Cuba

Did Newsweek send on of it's reporters there to live for 2 years on Cuba's middle income to figure this one out? The last I heard, Cuba only has two incomes, High and Low.

How to create a list of "Best XXXXXXX".

1. Collect a ton of different data points which might be important.
2. Pick who you want to win.
3. Calculate weighting factor on your data to get your winner into first place.
4. Check for unintended and undesireable consequences, such as getting America in second place if you want European countries to win. If necessary repeat step 3.

For example, the Cincinnati Bengals won both Super Bowls they were in if you play the game and then decide after the game that the winner will be the team which scored the most in the third quarter.

Did Newsweek send on of it's reporters there

Newsweek can no longer afford reporters so they just hire out-of-work fiction writers.

Newsdollar and other magazines love cooking up these lists as a way of criticizing our awful society. The only people I’ve ever known who take them seriously are posters online from Scandanavia or whatever country that comes in at #1—as if a nation that was truly #1 would give a damn about such things.

There is no possible way of coming up with an actual ranking of countries that has any objective meaning, yet the libs keep paying money on these stupid surveys.

The country that is #1 is a matter of individual choice and priorities, and as frustrating as it is to liberals who want to be the final word on such things, it always will be.

You are EXACTLY right on that last key point. It is also why they have it so good NOW. They do not have to sacrifice for their future generations. They HAVE NONE.
