Eleanor Clift: Obama Justice Department Let Tom DeLay 'Off the Hook' in Spirit of Bipartisanship
NewsBusters ^ | August 17, 2010 | P.J. Gladnick

The Justice Department has dropped its case against former House Majority Leader, Tom Delay, and Newsweek's Eleanor Clift is in mourning. She just can't accept the fact that there was no substance to the charges against DeLay and ascribes the dropping of the case to the Obama Justice Department trying to score points with Republicans in the interest of bipartisanship. Clift also manages to smear the late former Alaska Senator Ted Stevens in her angst over the dropped charges:

The Justice Department’s decision to let former House majority leader Tom DeLay off the hook and end the six-year-long investigation that drove him out of Washington at the peak of his power should win the Obama administration some points with Republicans, if not Democrats. This is the second high-profile Republican that Attorney General Eric Holder has vindicated, the other being the late senator Ted Stevens, whose corruption case Holder declined last year to prosecute.

Uhh, as I recall the Stevens verdict was thrown out because it came to light that he had been convicted on the basis of evidence manufactured by the U.S. Attornies handnling the case. There was nothing left for Holder to prosecute.

Now DeLay ought to sue Ronnie Earle, the Dem dipwad from Austin who brought up the phony charges because DeLay had succeeded in redistricting TX.

This crazy woman is still smoking crack. She works for Newsweek, a publication which was sold for $1 last week, and the buyer paid too much at that. She is one of the primary reasons Newsweek was and is circling the drain.

After 6 years they still couldn’t come up with something so they finally gave up. An no sorry about those legal bills Tom either. This was nothing but a political prosecution to take down an opponent.

Whenever I see an innocent man who is not prosecuted to the full extent of the law, I drop to my knees and praise the divine mercy of the Obama Justice Dept.

The left certainly has a deep bench when it comes to fielding moonbats, but Clift is not only in the starting lineup but she is definitely Pro Bowl material.

I’ve been recalling Eleanor’s stunned expression on the McGlaughlin Group or some other show when the Republicans took over Congress. I see she does, too, and doesn’t want to have to pull THAT particular mask from her Halloween assortment again.

I can’t wait to see it again.

Scott Tenorman: No, wait! Waaiittt!! Oh, my God, Oh, my Gaawwwd!!
[buries his face on the table]
Cartman: [walks over to Scott’s end of the table] Yes! Yesss! Oh, let me taste your tears, Scott!
[starts licking Scott’s tears off his face]
Cartman: Mm, your tears are so yummy and sweet!
Oh, the tears of unfathomable sadness! My-yummy!

Six years and they’re droppoing the case? That tells me they had no case.

should win the Obama administration some points with Republicans,

I never would have believed Eleanor could actually be dumber than she looks, but there is the proof in print. Geez.

...and if further proof was needed, this:

This is the second high-profile Republican that Attorney General Eric Holder has vindicated, the other being the late senator Ted Stevens, whose corruption case Holder declined last year to prosecute.

For reasons obvious, he was framed.

Gee, Eleanor how about your feelings vis-a-vis W. After all he was the cause of just about everything the dems and the progressives dislike about America.

And what has Clift had to say about the charges against Rangel and Waters?

Crickets?

Crickets!

If any network can get a show that has Eleanor Clift being questioned with a lie detector and a shocking device to be used when she lies, it would be the highest rated TV show in the history of TV. The TV audience could send in questions.
