Those satellite maps are not always the most current. Google still shows my house as a vacant lot and I've lived here for 5 years.
THey also make mistakes. Our old address is on the opposite corner of the block according to google. AND this summer, when we were putting together our class reunion they had the address for the host hotel wrong (actually in the wrong town!). I contacted them a couple of times but I don’t think they ever got it corrected (altho they did contact me back and appear to try). So, I don’t always count on them.

Lucky you. Mine is shown in full detail with my car parked outside and with a little bit of strain you can see my tag # and my “Close the Border” bumper sticker.
If you search on Google Maps for "Police in McKinney, TX", you'll get a listing at 2200 Taylor Burk Drive, which matches the location noted by the newspaper.
If you zoom in, there is a vacant lot at that location. However, if you look just east on that road, there's a building due north of the CCCC campus.
THAT looks like a police station. I believe I can see a row of police cars (white, with the light bars on top) parked on the north side of the building.
