Here's something new for the birthers to chew over: President Barack Obama's passport. Says he was born in Hawaii! But the White House has strategically fuzzed out certain data, so the mystery continues.
Now, it's his official passport, which means it's new, so the true believers will not be persuaded. Not that they ever would.

I would add that WND article is pathetic in its lack of credibility, when it turns a poll result that shows 27% hold a position and then announces the result as 6 of 10, including people who think Obama was probably born in the US as ‘birthers’. Um, no.

Actually, he did get a US Passport earlier in his life, for his overseas travels to Kenya and Pakistan, as described in his book.
For a passport you need only a short form that shows the names of both parents.
The caution given here refers to the requirement spelled out in DS-11.

If my theory (that this passport pic was released to stir up Birther noise and make his opponents look bad by association with the loonie fringe) is correct, maybe it was intentional (it invites both jokes and actual tinfoil-hat theories).

Obama had no other passport than an Indonesion one at that time. He was an inernatioal studet at Occidental College. His mammy was workig in Pakistan as a banker for the Ford cottery of companies lending to Pakistani cottage industry.

He would have been issued an official diplomatic (i.e., "black") passport shortly after being elected President. I do not know if Senators get black passports, but I assume a new one would be issued for a head of state.
Such as passport would never probably actually be used, even in the diplomatic line.
I assume once Obama enters the position of former president, he would get a different issued passport, probably still diplomatic.
