Lurker, what was that about Axelrod? If you know something or someone is “itching for payback” why not do something more than post it here? As in police, newspapers, courts, whatever.

I know that you might feel important and wanted by sticking up for your buddy, but I promise you that my service to my country and my conservative credentials would make you reconsider such petty attacks. Maybe you think it is funny or cute to threaten someone via keyboard, but I think it is immature and silly. Besides, most the people that do that are about 5’4” and weigh a 120lbs soaking wet. If they do happen to be of decent stature, then they are mental midgets.

...when he heard Blagojevich on an undercover recording telling Obama to "go (expletive) himself."

Blago just went up a notch in my estimation.

Of course, that's not saying much.

I really believe that many people become unglued (ie crazy) when they hear "salty" conversation. It upsets their delicate sensibilities.

This particular juror was so upset that he wanted to commit a felony and attack the former governor inside a courtroom. He realized that he couldn't do that and tried to intimidate a little old lady into convicting Blago for considering felonies when he himself was considering committing a felony. Ironic!

What’s worse than either of those is another newbie with no manners

I just don't like bullies who act like they suffer from short-man's syndrome.

You tell Mr. Axelrod that I still know some of those kids he used to have dropped off for him at the Anderson HQ near Lake under the "L" tracks.

A couple of them are itching for some real public payback. Tell him to think "Catholic Priest" and that there's no Statue of Limitations in Civil Court.

That right there is libel.

You could get FR in a whole lot of trouble for making such statements.

Grover, a former Marine, said he was outraged during the trial when he heard Blagojevich on an undercover recording telling Obama to "go (expletive) himself."

Wouldn't have been able to stop laughing. I do believe an alternate would have been taking my place.

Crawl back in your hole, sport. You and your n00bie ilk lie daily for your little man-god. Your claim of ‘credentials’ is as hollow as your assessment of the stature of Freepers you couldn't hope to equal. Run along, n00b.

That right there is libel.

I invite Mr. Axelrod to file suit. I'll familiarize him with the legal term "Discovery Process".

BTW...........that Marine’s credentials are real

That Marine was willing to physically attack someone for saying mean things to Obama on the phone.

I think you have your priorities wrong.

BTW, for all you know that Marine was a version of Gomer Pyle.

In Chicago, it’s not the jurors that are bought, but the judges. Same as everywhere else.

"Everywhere else"?? Not here. And in this case the judge did not make the decision, but the jurors. And 1 holdout juror appears to have been "bought".

In theory, I like the idea of jury nullification. In theory, it would involve a brave citizen saying "This law is unconstitutional, and I will not vote to convict anyone under this law." In theory, this is a good thing.

Suppose a juror actually does that in an appropriate case. Would you be supportive? Would you do the same if you were a juror in such a case?

” “I was going to go through the prosecution table right to him. I’ve never heard anything like that in my life.
Tell the president of the United States to go ‘F’ himself. Where I come from, that doesn’t happen.”

Blago told GW to F himself ?
Because when the tapes were made in 08 , George Bush was POTUS.
Blago was not speaking to Barry ,but, someone else when he referred to Barry as a MFer and said “ F him , F him .”
