Obama doesn't see the mob closing in
The Aurora Sentinel ^ | August 19, 2010 | Chuck Green

Let’s Make a Deal.

A radical Muslim cleric can build his mosque two blocks from Ground Zero as soon as town officials in Mecca approve plans for a synagogue in the center of the holy city. Maybe President Barack Obama could broker the deal — he gets his mosque and Jews get their synagogue.

On the other hand, we may not have a deal after all.

It baffles me how Obama can see a mosque near Ground Zero as a symbol of religious freedom and tolerance. By its very nature, the structure would be a monument to religious intolerance, hatred, mass murder, unspeakable violence toward women, and centuries of despotic leadership and oppression.

Now there’s a legacy to be celebrated by a landmark building in lower Manhatttan.

What a bunch of radical Muslims — financed, trained and encouraged by a handful of Islamic nations — did on Sept. 11, 2001, was to destroy another landmark, the World Trade Center, which stood for freedom, international commerce, tolerance of differing cultures (many foreigners were killed in the attack), and the hustle and bustle of life.

Let’s Make a Deal.

Let’s trade a symbol of freedom and tolerance for a symbol of oppression and hatred.

President Obama, in his speech to a group of Muslims celebrating their holy period of Ramadan last Friday, unnecessarily injected himself into the New York City mosque debate. He pointed out the obvious — which no one had disputed — that anyone, including a radical Islamic Imam, has property rights and can build a structure which conforms to land-use laws on privately owned land.

(In America, not in Iran.)

Why the president was compelled to remind Americans of property rights remains a mystery. Just a day or two earlier, his press secretary (otherwise known as the Class Clown) insisted that the mosque issue was a local zoning matter and did not require White House intervention.

Nevertheless, Obama weighed in — to his everlasting regret.

The next morning, not even waiting until High Noon, the president began backtracking. He wasn’t expressing his opinion on the “wisdom” of building the mosque so near Ground Zero, he merely was ruling on the legal rights of Muslims.

Duh. Nobody had questioned the legal-rights non-issue.

What Obama actually was doing on Friday night was playing to an audience — the Ramadan dinner crowd. The next morning he was playing to a different audience: an outraged American public.

The sad thing is that he didn’t have to do either. But this president can’t avoid playing to a crowd — whether it is a crowd of auto workers or farmers or Hollywood celebrities or jobless fishermen in Louisiana.

The guy loves a crowd.

Unfortunately, his arrogance is getting in the way of his governance.

Elected on a pledge of unifying the nation, he has divided the nation into ugly camps of rich and poor, black and white, Christians, Jews and Muslims, left and right, socialists and entrepreneurs.

Not since the upheavals of the era of Martin Luther King’s and Robert Kennedy’s assassinations has the American public been so divided, so internally hostile. Obama has turned the calendar back to the 1960s and 70s, after decades of healing and conciliation.

That’s not exactly the “change” most Americans had in mind when they pulled the voting-booth lever in November 2008.

It’s gotten to the point that even Democrats are starting to waver in their support of the president. They can’t seem to abide by his increasingly iron-fisted rule over legislation and policy. Senate leader Harry Reid, the president’s most-loyal general, broke ranks with his commander in chief on the mosque issue (Reid is desperately trying to keep his seat in a heated election back home in Nevada).

The bottom line of Obama’s problem is that he and his advisers are terribly out of touch with the average American family.

As families are facing the loss of their jobs and their homes, the Obamas are living the high life. Michelle, demanding privacy on her vacation with one of her daughters, has lunch with the King and Queen of Spain at their Mediterranean retreat. While soldiers are dying in Afghanistan, the president is golfing in Virginia. With taxpayers are paying the transportation bill, the president attends a lavish, celebrity-studded Democrat fund-raiser in Hollywood.

The president’s problem is that he was elected by the little people, as they are sometimes called, but he has utterly forgotten them in his newly adopted world of unrestrained arrogance and power. The crowd he so admires now is about to turn into an angry mob in November, and he doesn’t see it coming.

That he is president is still very unbelieveable to me

The fact the Saudi Arabia is still plowing millions into new mosque construction throughout the US without any public concern is unbelievable too.

And don't forget that Ceauşescu and his wife were subsequently executed live on Romanian national television.

I think that he and his fellow travelers see our suffering as an inconvenience that we have to endure as we transition into a fully socialist society. They’re convinced that socialism works but that it just hasn’t been done right before.

“We are the change we have been waiting for.”

In their arrogance, they believe they are unique and beautiful snowflakes sent to show the world how it is done.

Right now they’re snuffing out business, convinced that it’s capitalism standing between us and Utopia. But, as their policies continue to produce suffering and misery they’ll be looking for other institutions to blame and destroy for own their failures.

The Saudi’s funded a new building at Harvard around the time Obama went to law school. Doubtless there were strings, including Zero’s getting in, and then becoming editor of the law review. Also understood that he didn’t have to pass any classes under his own steam; they’d pencil in the A’s. He really is the Manchurian Candidate, and the Saudi’s are thrilled that it’s our oil money and expertise that brought this about.

A “joke” admired by some fifty million Americans. Those peoples are the real enemies within.

You misunderstand fifty million of your fellow Americans who believe the national media because “they would be taken off the air if they lied to us.”

Ohaha's "mosque speech" is being touted as one of those "historic defining moments," like Nixon's tape gap, and Carter's malaise speech.

Yet, in the Nixon/Carter era, there was still a semblance of shame. Right and wrong still prevailed.

Not so today--especially not w/ Ohaha. He has no concept of right and wrong, or shame. No matter what goes wrong, he's out there, smiling, glad-handing, vacationing. Witnesss his wife gallivanting around posh resorts as Americans are suffering. They are completely oblivious to the political consequences of their actions.......what's more, they could care less.

Clearly, when he gave his mosque speech (from the WH, no less) Ohaha's articulated words and his voice inflections, were archly crafted. Ohaha knew full well that he was throwing a megaton bomb into the American culture......and he was not in the least concerned.

Even more horrific for America---Ohaha is surrounded by ruthless, calculating individuals (the ones really in charge).

Emanuel, Axelrod, Jarrett, the people who wield the actual power, will not give up that power easily. Execrable characters Van Jones, George Soros, Anita Dunn, who control Ohaha, will not back down.

It'd be nice to think that Ohaha is finished......but we have to face the reality of the satanic monsters that occupy the WH.

"The president’s problem is that he was elected by the little people. . ."

Let's face it folks, the little tin god was elected by:
1. Anti-Bush folks (who were so sick of Bush they'd have voted for a dog - which is pretty much what they did....and there were lots of 'em)
2. Can't stand mccain folks (and there were a lot of 'em)
3. Women who were ga ga over his sexiness (and lots of guys too....like chrissy mathews), and
4. the color of his skin (HUGE amounts of minorities).

Little people???????????????

No.... The little tin god didn't "know" any little people in his life, didn't know any as a senator, doesn't know any now, and won't know any for the rest of his wasted life.

Building the Mosque at Ground Zero will be the greatest propaganda tool for Muslims to use in recruiting terrorists from regions where any Allied force has opposed them for the last decade. It will demonstrate terrorism succeeds in achieving their objective, no matter how powerful an enemy nation is or can wage war against it. Obama and the Democrats are succeeding in turning Afghanistan into a Vietnam, and further aiding and abetting active enemies of the Constitution.

I saw a comment on this youtube video

that said it all:
"Don't get mad at the Tea Party. They're just flushing the toilet. After all, the Tea Party is the last resort before the shooting starts."

I find Obama very believable. What I don’t find believable are the incredible morons who voted for him (over half the votes) in the first place.

We really, really need to limit the franchise. These days, I LIKE the idea of poll taxes and literacy tests.

We have a muslim usurper of unclear background occupying the highest office in the land and making a complete mockery of everything this nation has ever stood for. The clowns who write columns about how Obama is really a christian are either totally disingenous or they are some of the stupidest people on the planet.

“but that the pubbies will blow their opportunity out their bungholio like they always do and fail to repeal any of the recent legislation.”

If they do not repeal, they will be shown the door (with Obama) in 2012.

I, for one, will not tolerate the jelly-spined RINOs anymore. They are no better than the statist/marxist liberals who have done so much to destroy our country since 2006.
