During the election campaign, it became evident that Obama thought that he was the Messiah. And so, evidently, did a lot of his followers and deluded supporters.
When we hear the word “Messiah,” we automatically think of Jesus, the Christian Messiah. But that’s not at all what Obama thinks he is. Rather, he is the prophesied Messiah of Islam, more familiarly known as the Mahdi.
That certainly is what the leader of the Nation of Islam in Chicago was thinking of, when he told his congregation in the fall of 2008 that Obama was the promised Messiah.
