Not Alaska again. Sarah better not get in any of these small planes. I hope Ted Stevens was not a dry run for something bigger.

Very common in Alaska. Not unusual at all. The media may decide to report about it more, though, due to recent events.

Dehavilland Beaver

One of the best small planes ever make and I say that as person who is not a pilot but knows many private plane pilots.

And this is why I absolutely hate those small planes. I know they come in handy but you couldn’t pay me to get on board one of those things. I’m already scared enough to get on a regular plane

44 NTSB investigations so far this year vs. 102 in California, for example. Why don’t they get as much publicity?

Are the Democrats saying they wish Sarah was in the plane yet?

The Ted Stevens crash was no accident. A few FBI agents are currently under investigation for their shenanigans during the Stevens fiasco. Blago better not get into any small planes either.

I thought Sarah was a pilot.

Living in Alaska means using small planes for transportation rather frequently.

Alaska, 1 crash per 15,800 people.

California, 1 crash per every 360,000 people.

Alaska’s crashes are about 23 times higher per capita.

“In the last decade, Alaska had 1,188 accidents, compared with an average of 351 accidents in each of the 50 states. The rate is so disproportionate that the Federal Aviation Administration singles out Alaska in its annual performance goals: In 2009, its goal was to reduce the number of general aviation accidents in the state to 99. Alaska logged 100—down from 108 in 2008, but up from 92 in 2007. “

What exactly were "FBI agents' shenanigans" that need investigation?

3 park rangers? Then, maybe, hopefully, they’re skilled in survival techniques?

Prayers.

Hopefully, the floatplane landed in a cove to wait out some bad weather.

“Then, maybe, hopefully, they’re skilled in survival techniques?”

Then, again, if they are like the ones in the Everglades, “abandon all hope”.

The one’s here can’t find their way back to the airboat launch site, and they have to stay in airboat trails. Worse yet, the rangerette stuck her truck/trailer at the ramp and was sooooo stupid she didn’t even know all she had to do was tie the airboat down to the trailer.

Then all she had to do was make sure the truck was running and in park with the brake set, start the airboat engine and tie the throttle down at full power.

Next, the rangerette should have gotten in the truck, released the brake and the combined truck and airboat engines would have solved her problem.

Being a gooberment licensed airboat operator, she knew nothing of this.

Lil’ Debbie is famous for her Everglades behaviors. The rest are little better in many cases.

Pray that the rangers egos were big enough to cushion their impact with the ground.
