“I have to admire someone that pays their debts.”

Yes she could have gave the rotten old Commie a signed book or a happy meal from McDonald’s.

I don't want to hear Hannity or Limbaugh whining when John McCain starts stabbing us in the back again. They never helped Hayworth at all. Wow!

Maybe Az conservatives can keep McCain in line by starting a recall petition. If enough people work for a recall, it might be enough to scare him into behaving. The one positive thing from this is the media can’t start with the neener, neener, neener to Sarah Palin. Pray that Joe Miller wins in AK.

We would get amnesty with or without McCain —I think if
he would have voted for the Health care bill he would have lost tonight. If I were to run against McCain my campaign would have noted that if you like Obama vote for McCain as
McCain was a big supporter and defender of Obama on many occasions (to his campaign and the US demise)

“I remember he was a congressman from Arizona and he was voted out of there after only 1 term wasn’t he? Why?”

1. J.D. got caught up in the Abramoff scandal. Although the investigators finally had to admit they had zero case against him, it left a bad taste in a lot of people’s mouths.

2. He was in longer than one term, as I recall, but in the end he got his district gerrymandered out from under him. When they redrew the lines, he lost most of his stalwart GOP constituencies and got stuck with the campus of Arizona State(ist) University into the bargain.

3. In case you can’t tell from today’s election results, we’re all a bunch of f___ing idiots down here. That may also have been a factor.

Considering how he supposedly treated POWs while in the Senate, I don’t trust anything about this guy. He did one good thing though- 2 years ago- when he picked Palin.

This is very disappointing. I feel deflated.

McCain is a backstabbing weasel. Period.

But is is easier to blame SP for the outcome than it is to just buck up and admit JD is a buffoon.

You are right about Sarah Palin’s McCain angle.
McCain won tonite based on name recognition and
lots of $$ spent on negative attacks on JD.

“You can stay awake nights holding Sarah responsible for McCain’s win but even without Sarah, it was not going to be close. Sheriff Joe might have been able to pull it off but not J.D. You can get a lot of attention if you’ve got enough money - look at the Scott win in Florida.”

McQueeg beat us with our own money!

I can only conclude we have a lot of young people here who haven’t seen many campaigns. The first time I saw and heard JD Hayward speak I knew he would lose. Guy should have done the Joe Isuzu commercials. You live in a fantasy world if you thought he could take down an entrenched machine politican like Juan.

I don’t like McCain, but we will have to put this behind us and keep on fighting for conservative principles.

This is just one in many skirmishes. The battle is just beginning!

We need to keep focused on kicking Dem and RINO butt, and not get too preoccupied on a few loses.

She didn’t do much more than that, she came to AZ the night before the Searchlight, NV tea party and did a dinner with him, that was all...... nothing since.

The old bastard refused — refused — to go on FOX at all in 2008, wouldn’t let Sarah go on either, and now you couldn’t get him off the damn station, he’s been on almost nightly.

How can a state that is willing to fight the President over illegal immigrants continue to elect this idiot RINO.

I disagree with Palin’s endorsement, but I understand it. US Senators are very powerful people in our society.

While I cannot stand many of McCain's positions, the one good thing he did (which had to do with enhancing his own long-shot Presidential ambitions) was to bring Palin national attention.

With or without Palin, McCain would have won this election tonight.

Mark Levin was a rock on this race. I didn’t realize Rush and the Haircut were absent.

..." even without Sarah, it was not going to be close."....

You are quite correct. Once he fell in line with the tough talk against Illegals, it was all over.

Nope, we are not all a bunch of f___ing idiots.
All it means is this country is mostly CENTER-RIGHT.
And not super-RIGHT as most here wish. FR is very small
compared to number of voters out there.
