I did not see eiither of them posted and could not imagine how these do not qualify as breaking news!

No indication of a mod removing them from breaking news.

Let me broaden the question. What exactly is Breaking News, and what is not Breaking News? And why do some things stay in Breaking News for as much as a day or two, long past the "breaking," whereas other things get pulled as soon as a mod sees them?

Both were in Breaking News.....then I was logged out of FR for some reason (computer malfunction?).....when I logged back on both were removed from Breaking News.
IMO, these are 2 of the biggest stories of the past 24 hours.

When you look under “topics” at the bottom
of the article, both say they were posted
in News/Activism .. not Breaking.. unless
that was altered.
Personally, I’ve noticed that issue before
with the mod/mods on night duty. There’s
a noticably different ‘approach’ in operation
by those in charge in the evening.

What exactly is Breaking News, and what is not Breaking News? This should explain everything, and if not there is an interpretive dance based on it on Youtube.

Breaking news is something that would cause even ESPN to break coverage of whatever was on air and talk about when it’s not sports.
