I did not see eiither of them posted and could not imagine how these do not qualify as breaking news!

The moderation of the breaking news sidebar is capricious at best. Some days, anything goes, others - not so much. I’m kind of old-school... and think “breaking news” ought to be something very, very serious - something just shy of activating the emergency alert system and telling the world to put their heads between their legs and kissing their butts goodbye.

When you look under “topics” at the bottom
of the article, both say they were posted
in News/Activism .. not Breaking.. unless
that was altered.
