How many times did he take it..... before he figured out he was a SODOMITE.
We need to PURGE the party before we don’t have anything left of this nation.

Mehlman arrived at this conclusion about his identity fairly recently, he said in an interview Some how I find that a little difficult to believe.
I don't know. I've had several acquaintances over the years "come out" and in both cases, the response from friends was, "What took you so long!"

I really do not care if he is gay....I actually think less of people when they feel compelled to make a public announcement about their sexuality....
BTW everyone I am a Christian, straight, white American female, proud mom of three sons two of them are Marines and at this point I am not sure what my hair color is......there, I said it so flame me.......

"arrived at that conclusion" I think was a poor choice of words.
Had they said: "he long had doubts regarding his sexual preference, but decided to finally come out of the closet recently"
That sounds to me like a more appropriate phrasing and one I would not have even quibbled with.

This is not news. We’ve known it all along and so what? He is a brilliant strategist and did a fantastic job. He is one of any number of gays that do great work for the party. I wish him well.

More evidence we need to sack DC and get rid of this rock gut.
What is it with these “men” who need to tell us all about their private perversions?

Mehlman voiced support for civil unions and told of how, in private discussions with senior Republican officials, he beat back efforts to attack same-sex marriage. Well, that certainly explains a lot...the LGBT crowd had a high-level mole on the inside.
To: LonelyCon
LOL so it takes him 43 years to now know that having sex with a woman is not a turn on and now want it up his crap box/suck mens dicks.
The man needs to seek mental help as he he obviously sick in the head.

it’s only been 40 plus years to find out he now likes sucking men off and having it up the rear end.

I think a lot of us arrived at that conclusion years ago. I know I did.

“I actually think less of people when they feel compelled to make a public announcement about their sexuality....”
Exactly. That’s why it’s so undermining when freaks like this push for open homosexuality to be mandated in the military. The minute they start flaunting their lifestyle they almost instantly fall in line with the rest of the gay rights agenda: weaken the sanctity of marriage with sodomite unions, force open homosexuality on the military, demand allowing male/male adoption of young boys, etc. And the minute you stand up to any of this, you are labelled a “homophobe”.
To: kittymyrib
George Bush really made a lot of bad mistakes in hiring.
Sounds like Bush knew Mehlman was gay and Mehlman even made it a point to say that Bush wasn't a homophobe. Maybe this was a part of that "compassionate conservatism" stuff that Bush was trying to sell.
To: pnh102
"This guy is much better at the job than Mike Steele."
That's not saying much. Under his "leadership", we lost Congress to the Democrats.

I realize that there are those who want to promote “big tent” politics, but it is an unfortunate reality that there can rarely be an inclusion of homosexuals in conservative politics. Our goals are not the same.
