As GOP civil war rages, Democrats look to benefit

A Republican civil war is raging, with righter-than-thou conservatives dominating ever more primaries in a fight for the party's soul. And the Democrats hope to benefit.

The latest examples of conservative insurgents' clout came Tuesday at opposite ends of the country. In Florida, political newcomer Rick Scott beat longtime congressman and state Attorney General Bill McCollum for the GOP gubernatorial nomination. And in Alaska, tea party activists and Sarah Palin

In 2008 the democrats has a choice to make between a traditional liberal democrat in Hillary Clinton or a radical leftist in Barrack Obama. They chose to go hard core far left.

With that in mind the left simply has no credibility in being critical of the republicans for going more conservative than they have been in the past.

There are only two outcomes: 1) The true conservative wins, denying the collectivist/progressive demagogues a quisling they can trot out as evidence of “bipartisan support”, or 2) a Democrat wins, whose votes in favor of destroying the Republic and Constitution and in favor of enslaving the productive in order to buy votes from the parasites can not be blamed on some idiot with a (R) after his name.

We win either way.

The vote last night was about the anti-establishment. There’s no civil war in the GOP. The Democrats on the other hand are voting for incumbents because they love big government and want more of it.

Umma, umma, the republicans aren’t running for high country every time their leadership shows up to campaign for them. They may be feeling around to figure out just who’s top dog, and yes, before 2012 there’s going to be a shakedown of somebody, but...

If ever there was a divided party running for high ground, and hiding out from their constituents as well, it’s the democrats.

The liberal idea that Republicans have to “move toward the center” in order to be successful is contradicted by the record of history.

Only the singular example of the Goldwater defeat in 1964 suggests that this might be true, and even then it would have been difficult at best for a moderate Republican to win in that year against LBJ.

The rest of presidential election history shows a very weak record for moderate, “progressive” Republicans. FDR trounced 4 moderates, so did Carter, Obama and Clinton. The only moderate Republicans to win were the war hero Ike and Richard Nixon.

There is no “civil war”. There is a fight to get as many really conservative candidates as possible on the Republican ticket, but there aren't going to be any democrats on any ballot that are superior to any Republican this election. The vast majority of the population has realized that it's easier and wiser to work to replace one weak Republican with a better one than to ever let another democrat sneak in between Republicans of any sort. Even the sorry RINO Republicans don't have the nerve to promote and enact the kind of crap we've seen from the democrats. Even McCain, as sorry as he is, isn't nearly as bad as a run of the mill democrat since all democrats are totally committed to eliminating the Constitution and capitalism.

McCain and other RINOS may regain their seats, but they can't last all that much longer and when they're gone, a better, more conservative, more honest, Republican will replace them not some democrat with a lie on his lip and Saudi money on his hip.

Regards

They have a point of sorts, but I`d say its not a civil war as many consider the RINOs of the Republicrat party to be as much the enemy as any other leftist. I mean rats or crats, not much of a difference, especially when The Snowe, Graham, and McLames are factored in.

Yep, you nailed it exactly. Which is why the Tea Party movement is so strong ... it is pointless to attempt to salvage the Dems, as they are imploding on their own. Much better and wiser to attempt a reformation of the somewhat more rational party in the Pubs. The Dem party is completely hopeless in the TP's eyes.

What they forget is that one of the main reasons the Pubs lost control of the Senate and the House was CONSERVATIVE anger with Bush and his party's "go along/get along" with the Dims who were pushing amnesty and big government spending.

And only becasue of Sarah Palin was McCain even a contender in the 2008 election. So it WAS NOT great enamor with LIberal ideas that got the Dims--and Obama--elected; it was a huge Conservative "shrug"!

The propagandists can’t keep their message straight.

Last week the MSM meme was that Republicans don’t have “a single, solitary new idea.” Republican “ideas have been tested, and they have failed,” Obama said. “They don’t have a single idea that’s different from George Bush’s ideas — not one,” Obama said to applause.

Now explain to me, how is it that the Republican party can be so uniform in their “failed ideas from the past” and still have a civil war ongoing in the party?

If all the ideas are old and the same, doesn’t it logically follow that there is no disagreement within the party?

Or is the MSM finally acknowledging that some in the GOP want to surrender to socialism while the majority wants to preserve America?
