Obama, Congress Cut $ for 176 Abstinence Programs Despite New Study
Washington, DC -- More than 176 abstinence education programs will lose funding for their outreaches to youth and young adults on September 30 because Congress and the Obama Administration canceled all grants going to abstinence-centered programming in their FY2010 budget.

They will just give it to Planned Parenthood so they can teach their version of safe sex.

Actually, cuts sound pretty good to me. Why is the FEDERAL government in the abstinence education business in the first place? All we need do now is eliminate ALL federal education spending. It’s not their job. They have no business doing it.
Besides, I don't think it's the governments business. It's up to parents to educate their kids in sexual matters, not our incompetent government.
Also, does it make sense to support both abortion and abstinence? Kind of an oxymoron thing if you ask me.

Back when 0bama was running, I remember listening to him say specifically that he wanted women to be ‘able to have all the abortions you want.’

You have put your finger on what should be the main theme of the Republican’s campaigning: the government is doing too many things that are none of its business, and in the process taking too much of our money. And government is also spending huge amounts of our money bailing out individuals and institutions that have behaved irresponsibly.
Response: The "New" model of governance will be free food, free rent, free games, and free love. The population is almost at that level anyway.

what you dont realize is that Obama admin is not cutting spending at all, they are diverting money from effective abstinence programs into other programs that sexualize youth in the classroom.

Just understand that this money was about 0.1% of the $80 billion spent on education by the Fed Govt, and the Obama administration and Dems are all for spending much more than this on ‘comprehensive’ sex ed.

What works even better is kids who are not in broken homes and have parents who rear their children in ways that support moral behavior.
