The Alaska Division of Elections said Thursday that it has more than 20,000 absentee and questioned ballots left to process from Tuesday's primary election. Most are expected to be Republican primary ballots that will decide the too-close-to-call race between U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski and Joe Miller.

“Murkowski could not be reached for comment. A spokesman said she was meeting with Al Franken and his staff to strategize on how to manufacture the votes needed to win the election.”

There were 16,000 absentee ballots requested. Almost half of the 20,000 ballots still to be counted are questioned ballots.

Never fear, the DNC will find 25,000 ballots forgotten in a trunk of a car, and 95% of those votes will coincidentally vote the Democratic ticket. Nothing personal, but I think that has to rank among the most clueless comments I've ever seen on FR.

I guess I see now....20,000 is the total number of votes possibly still in play....
I hope Miller keeps boots on the ground....
my best guess is that at least 25% of those votes are dims....
considering that not all ballots will be returned.....maybe 2000 or so...that leaves us with perhaps 16,500 ballots....
can LM pull in enough?....again, the mail in votes were mailed late....close to Miller's surge...and then some military....
I have faith.....

An endangered Polar Bear suffering from Global Warming distress tried to eat 5000 ballots. They will have to be examined by ACORN to determine who the votes were for.

And the answer is...you did not get this right. Try reading the article again. And you don't even need to read past the first sentence.

Poorly written article: The Alaska Division of Elections said Thursday that it has more than 20,000 absentee and questioned ballots left to process from Tuesday's primary election. Most are expected to be Republican primary ballots that will decide the too-close-to-call race between U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski and Joe Miller.
Translation: There were 20,000 absentee, early and questionable ballots (for both Dem and Republican primaries) There are generally more Republican ballots than Dem. There ARE NOT 20,000 Republican ballots uncounted.

She certainly looks like the kind of woman who has a "shriveling" affect on men, if you get my drift.
