...Shabazz has confirmed to Mediaite that neither he, nor the New Black Panther Party, will be at Beck’s rally tomorrow. Shabazz declined to elaborate, but given his prior statements, it is likely that the group decided to follow the lead of other Beck critics, who have chosen to focus their energies on their own projects, rather than counter-protest Beck.
Al Sharpton’s National Action Network will hold a “Reclaim the Dream Rally and March” tomorrow that will be attended by Martin Luther King III, NAACP President Ben Jealous, and liberal MSNBC host Ed Schultz.
For those with a taste for a more direct rebuke of Beck’s rally, Celebrate the Dream might be the ticket:
On the 47th anniversary of King’s historic proclamation, far-right fearmonger Glenn Beck will hold a self-serving press event on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. He’s trying to co-opt King’s Dream, with a Nightmare message to his throng of followers.

The group plans to unveil a 4-story sculpture memorializing King’s speech, followed by a press conference on the national mall...

Hmm,Schultz who earlier this month was told he would be fired if he ever again threatened to burn down the MSNBC studio.

The NYPost reports MSNBC's 6pmET host Ed Schultz, irate over not being included in election night promos, yelled, "I'm going to torch this [bleep]ing place."
As astonished MSNBC staff members fell silent, Schultz glared around the room and yelled, "[Bleep]ers!" Fuming Schultz was immediately dragged in for a meeting with NBC News President Steve Capus and MSNBC President Phil Griffin following his Aug. 12 meltdown.
Our source added, "Schultz was told: 'If you do that again, you are fired.' He broke down crying."
Working in the newsroom at NBC must be a rung of HELL!
That’s a wise decision on the part of this racist organization.
The truth is the “New” Black Panther Party is a gang of punks.
Unable to panhandle enough for bus fare, I suppose.

Shabazz figures that some attending the Beck event will be packing heat, and not give a rat’s patootie about any DC laws.
This is a direct answer to our prayers that Glenn Beck and those attending this event would be kept safe from these evil, godless, racist enemies of America.
