Even Fox News is reporting “thousands show up for the Glenn Beck Rally”
That picture is about 600,000. I will blow up the picture and ask my kid to count them.

AP reported fourty minutes ago there were, “Tens of thousands” at the Beck rally, then immediately shifted to another MLK rally with an African American preacher (not sharpton), and of course no crowd estimate, but quoted him as saying he was glad, “Beck just discovered MLK”.
Woodstock? It sounds like it’s twice as big.

I was puzzled as well, while reading I was expecting the punchline to be that we beat him in numbers - didn’t happen, just a leftist wee wee’d up obama post, strange.

It's actually difficult to compare inaugural events with Mall events because only a small part of the Mall gets involved in the inaugural ~ and then only for a short time ~ that's the Oath Taking.
It's a warm day in DC ~ and this event is at the Reflecting Pool end of the Mall ~ there are a lot of trees down each side and even an aerial photo isn't going to pick them up. People have tried and were unable to work up any relevant factors that give realistic counts.
Regarding the Hussein thing, there are millions of African Americans within a few hours of this area. They didn't all visit here. Lots of them did. Our local area had cars parked miles away from the subway station with people walking to that station to catch crowded cars to get down to the Mall.
We usually don't get that sort of crowd ~

Well, we're glad he just discovered Beck.
I watched on CSPAN and a lot of the shots of the crowd were close ups, of small groups of people between 3 and 50. They did few shots of the large mass of people there.
Just count the legs and divide by two.
They are never moved the camera over the crowd when they did the long shot from deep stage right.
On my ATT home page they have about 59 photos from event — go there and scroll thru — there is an overhead shot showing packed crowd all the way along BOTH sides of the reflecting pool and back to the Washington monument. It is certainly impressive and would prove there were at a MINIMUM more thn 500,000 people there per what was stated as capacity of all the areas.
Then it dawned on me that there were people of all faiths there, yet the name of Jesus Christ was allowed to be spoken to all, they all had to hear this. WONDERFUL.
What a day. Beck's speech was great, the finish to what MLK started.
The White House and Congress had to hear this Loud and Clear, and it will resonate into November. This rally should scare the HELL out of all of them. Let's call it an exorcism.
