VINEYARD HAVEN, Mass. — President Barack Obama is aiming to underscore his commitment to a region weary of calamity as he travels to New Orleans on the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.

Obama ends his Martha's Vineyard vacation Sunday and heads to the Gulf, five years to the day from when Katrina roared ashore in Louisiana. Eighty percent of New Orleans was flooded when the storm tore through protective levees.

I was given the series of programs titled John Adams and watched them beginning last week.

One scene shows an irate crowd, gathered to castigate a hated British official. The harbor of Boston had many businesses, including a rope maker that used hot tar to make rope.

The offender was stripped naked and the hot tar poured all over his body. He was hoisted on a rail and feathers were poured over his tar soaked body. He was then paraded around the square,

Such a practice is now politically incorrect but sorely needed. We have become far too civilized in our treatment of despicable politicians. They have no fear for their property, much their lives.

The way I feel now, I’m inclined to agree with you. Of course, I wouldn’t do it, but it is a tempting idea.

But it took him how many days to get down to the Gulf after the oil spill?

Hope the people of LA let him know while he’s down there that they do not appreciate his dumb and illegal drilling moratorium, either.

He's probably going to designate Aug. 29 as a federal holiday so that his core consitituency of stash-trash have another paid day-off to paint their houses and clean up their yards.

Tennessee.

If any of the DriveBy, State Controlled, Partisan Political Operative, Kneepad Media had ANY credibility, they would talk about Zero’s inattention to Tennessee during their recent disaster (not enough brothers there, I guess) as well as his ultra delayed reaction to the oil spill.

But I know better.

65 days.

I don’t just want the Democrats, and the Lib Republicans that support them, beaten. I want them driven out, and to hear the wailing of the women and children in the media.

My dog started barking right by my ear early this morning, so I took some sinus medicine & turned on NPR..... hoping to get back to sleep. They were interviewing an older woman who had moved into the new “projects”...... I believe it’s called Harmony Hills. She lives in a 2 story townhouse that sounds really nice.... she said it was really nice, but she was complaining that she doesn’t sit on her porch because, “I don’t know none of my neighbors no more.” She then complained that her next to free rent had gone up because her daughter had gotten a job. She is complaining about almost free luxury housing that my working 74 year old mother is helping to pay for!!!!!! She ended by complaining that as long as she has a fight left in her, “I will fight.” For what, the chance to thank all the taxpayers who pay for your life & don’t live nearly as well!!!!????? It made me want to slap her & I’m not a violent person. My mother has never asked for a free thing in her life & NEVER would & then you have a whole culture of people complaining about their freebies.

Last week they were interviewing a couple, grandparents, who had left N.O. for Jackson, MS & moved into a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom house or apartment. They had 14 ...... no, that’s correct.... 14!!!!!! grandchildren when they moved to Jackson. They are still in the same place & now they have 17 grandchildren!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Like my no more liberal brother says, “You can’t make this stuff up!”

Why, in what universe is this considered normal? I can’t imagine how they are adding to the crime & overload in Jackson..... a very dangerous place. It boggles the mind.

And then teachers are berated for not being able to control, let alone teach these children. Our animals get better parenting, medical care, nutrition, & a loving environment. MY HEAD WANTS TO EXPLODE...... OH YES IT DOES......

Too bad for Mooch and her man-child, the 'lobsters' run a lot smaller and happen to be out of season.

So make sure you fill up on Gulf of Mexico shrimp.

The incompetent-in-chief visits a city of his peers.

And continues to ignore the struggling Mississippi Gulf coast - THE area truly ravaged by Katrina.

As a Floridian whose state has been smacked by more hurricanes in recent years - we are soooo tired of hearing about New Orleans and how bad it is since Katrina.

I wondered why the power went out here a few hours early this AM...guess the energy was needed to prop up Mr. Annimation.

Wonder what Church he will visit on this tour? Got to find some Christian church to make him look like a Christian.

Meanwhile, right, no visit to Miss which bore the brunt of the storm.

Let me see, a future storm model shows Fiona, when named, hitting south east Florida. I hope he heads to Broward now and waits. I’d love to see him blown clear out to the GOM along with his staff holding onto whatever voting machines he can grab.

What’s he going to do there?

Au contraire, mon frère...he's going to have to steal credit from Bush. A poll in the last few days revealed that people now think that Bush did a much better job in NO than the usurper did on Deepwater Horizon.

I went to New Orleans in 2007 for about two hours, the only time I have been there. It came about as a result of spending a week at Bay St. Louis, Miss. helping to work on some houses there. On the final day we went to New Orleans so that those who had never been there could see Bourbon Street and the river walk.

Coming into the city I was amazed, looking down from the expressway I could see thousands of abandoned wooden houses, many of them covered with vines, the whole area looked like a scene from a horror movie. I thought that one match would have started a fire of astounding proportions, I wondered what was keeping it from going up in flames.

“A direct result of the welfare state.”
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Absolutely, the people you see on the videos complaining, one woman actually was on TV griping because the meals given out were not hear and they were given no way to heat them, are descended from people who worked long and hard to “enjoy” a standard of living far below what welfare recipients enjoy now and they thanked God for it rather than complaining.

Give a man a fish and he is fed for a day and wakes up the next day looking for you to cook his fish and furnish cole slaw and tartar sauce.
