America doesn’t want “improved relations” with the killer mullahs. America wants them dead.

I doubt they improved its range to exceed that of a bomber...

This ammunition uses solid propellants and act like ballistic missiles, the Iranian defense minister noted. Something must have been lost in the translation. Were they using liquid propellant in their artillery shells before...? Doubt it.

The Germans never were successful with long range guns. Also the bigger they are the easier they are to hit from the air.

This ammunition uses solid propellants and act like ballistic missiles, Whoopie ding! Extended range does not equate to increased accuracy. If you shoot beyond the horizon you will still need "forward observers" as spotters. We had rocket assisted 16" shells during Nam that could reach out 90 miles. They never replaced BUFFs and five hundred pound gravity bombs.
State of the art these days is GPS terminal guidance. We can pop five rounds in the general direction of a target and have all five arrive simultaneously with a CEP under ten metres, can ya top that?

Thanks Nachum. Of course, Iraq had artillery that was range-enhanced by Gerald Bull (or a clone of his system), and the Iraqi army collapsed in the face of overwhelming firepower.
