Obama presidential library in Chicago or Hawaii? Lobbying begins

August 30, 2010

(AP) — Efforts are under way to have Barack Obama select his native Hawaii as the home of his presidential library.

Other Obama supporters want the library located in Chicago.

Hawaii state lawmakers supported a proposal this past legislative session.

Presidential librairies are generally located in a place with some significant connection to the former president’s life.

In this case Nairobi or Mecca would be excellent choices.

The words I long to hear: FORMER PRESIDENT OBAMA

The lobbying could be intense. (Hawaiians might insist on Chicago!)

Obama presidential library in Chicago or Hawaii?

Either, as far as I am concerned. They both have landfills that will hold it.

I think Pelosi, Reid and Obama should put their libraries in San Francisco. And they shold be provided government housing to live there too. Now all we have to do is get Alcatraz reopened and all will be in order.

What will be in there? Das Kapital? Saul Alinsky’s book? Cloward-Piven’s article?

Sure. He could place both books in there and then siphon off the millions in expenses for it.

I’m guessing the library consists mostly of comic books from the days of the Cultural Revolution

*Absolutely. Any *papers* from his past would fit in a child’s shoe box.*

Perhaps the library could be taken around the country on a solar powered moped.

*hat will be in there? Das Kapital? Saul Alinsky’s book? Cloward-Piven’s article?*

Think it will be dedicated to Satan like Alinsky’s book?

I vote for Guantanamo Bay.

Ditto.

Maybe Moscow.
