Obama presidential library in Chicago or Hawaii? Lobbying begins

August 30, 2010

(AP) — Efforts are under way to have Barack Obama select his native Hawaii as the home of his presidential library.

Other Obama supporters want the library located in Chicago.

Hawaii state lawmakers supported a proposal this past legislative session.

Kenya? Sumatra? USSR? Many, many choices if his allegiances are taken into account.

A presidential library? Sort of ironic for a man that can’t read without help.

No birth certificate should mean impeachment, not a library.

This whole subject is odd. Presidential libraries are usually discussed closer to the end on the term. Given that I believe we are long past free elections, is Obama planning on running in ‘12? As for the location(s) of his presidential library(ies), it would be all of the above. If there is one thing we do know about Obama, he doesn’t choose just one. If he decides to go to Camp David for labor day, he is attempting to molify his distractors who believe he is on one big vacation.

It belong in the back of a bookmobile . . . the little room with that white bowl on the floor with the lid on it.

Absolutely. Any *papers* from his past would fit in a child's shoe box.

It should be a wing of a Federal penitentiary, based on the outcome of his impeachment.

Either in the septic tank or under the leach field, preferably the former.

It’s funny that the Clinton Library is in Arkansas, when Bill and Hillary never returned to their home state after his term of office was done. They apparently couldn’t wait to get out of there. Of course, they had to buy a house in New York so that Hillary could claim to be a resident there.

I would love to see what happens the day a Republican is a carpet bagger and moves to a state just to run for office. I was always amazed that Hillary never was called out on being a carpet bagger.

Of course, the voters had the final say, and they voted for her. Clearly not enough good Democrats in New York held the carpet bagging against her. She did her listening tour and convinced people that she loves New York, and the rest was history.

Never mind, "Where." What the hell does the Mombasa Moonbeam have to put "IN" a bloody library? There are no records.

His Occidental transcript? His Columbia School of General Studies transcript? His SATs. His LSATs? His Graduate Record Exams? His Bar Application? His Birth Certificate?

I should think a filing cabinet in the Bill Clinton Library basement would be more than adequate. It also should be kept locked.

It remains to be seen if he’ll even get a library...but I think the ground zero mosque would welcome him....just sayin’
