The report found 465 newspapers have no minorities on their full-time staffs, a number that “has been growing since 2006.”

I couldn't resist turning to the Al Sharpton rally where they were ‘overwhelmingly black’ except maybe those Dept Education employees asked to show up there.

Glenn Beck preached independence while Sharpton preached government ‘protection’ and government imposed ‘social justice’. He also said a powerful FEDERAL government is MLKs dream.

A dream yes, but it would be a nightmare. I think King knew better than just about anyone how oppressive a strong federal government could be. Hover had a special axe to grind when it came to MLK, and I think MLK was aware of it and not particularly a fan of massive federal government.

On the other hand, I think he was in favor of federal intervention to open up schools and the like, so who knows exactly what his vision of the proper size and strength of federal government should be.

As for your Sharpton comments, I think you’re pretty close to the bulls-eye.
