With the news that Gibbsie won't say if -0 will give Pres. Bush proper credit for the surge in the diatribe tonight, I would love to have been a fly on the wall.

It would have been much more interesting had zero called Cheney.
THAT’S the call I would want to be a fly on the wall for!!!

I wish Laura had taken the call and said, “I’m sorry, George is just far too busy this morning to take calls from A-Holes!”

Probably calling to ask Bush II for advice on the speech, and knowing that dimwit Bush II, he probably would give it to him.
A Meeting of the Mind(less).

I figure the entire conversation went something like this:
Obama: "Hey, Chimpy, this is the President. If you are wondering if I'm going to give you any credit in my speech tonight, don't be such a sap. Ha-ha." (Click.)

O did this to win points with independents and woman. He'll state that he spoke to Bush and acknowledge W's work in his speech. Lefty media will praise him for being so gracious. Poll numbers may tic up a bit...

It'll be 3 a.m. here when Obozo does his address and nobody here seems all that interested.
We're all excited about the Change of Command ceremony tomorrow and the transition from Operation Iraqi Freedom to Operation New Dawn. The base is crazy with closed streets (I had to turn around and drive down a one-way going the wrong way this evening because of one...the military guys at the closure point said "Oh, it's OK - we're sort of making exceptions right now." LOL) and frenzied preparation and there's an excitement in the air.
We won't be too terribly surprised if the "neighbors" try to launch things or pull some nasty stunt, but we pray all goes well.

President Bush made it clear from the very beginning that the US would stand down when the Iraqi were ready to stand up. That is why he would never make a date certain.

Question for Gibbs: Does the _resident also give George courtesy calls when he claims "Bush's Fault™" in a speech? Just askin'

“W” doesn’t need Obama’s validation. He knows he did the best he could with what he was handed, and history will be his judge.
He never blamed Clinton, has never spoken out against Obama, despite their endless heaping of criticism on him.
He’s a better person than I.

Laura: No, he’s washing his hair.

I for one think its pretty stupid to tell us He is calling a former President. He is just trying to get more people to tune into speech. There is definitely a motive He hates Bush. Just yesterday He blamed Him again. Now He is calling ,give me a break. I do not post much but this really ticked me off, that's all their talking about.
