U.S. private sector employment fell 10,000 in August, according to the ADP employment report released Wednesday.
"The decline in private employment in August confirms a pause in the recovery already evident in other economic data," Joel Prakken, chairman of Macroeconomic Advisers, which produces the report from anonymous payroll data supplied by ADP, said in a statement.
On Friday, the government is scheduled to report nonfarm payrolls for August, and economists polled by MarketWatch expect an overall decline of 105,000, including an expected increase of 25,000 jobs in the private sector.

In the “summer of recovery”?
We may have lost 10,000, but 0bama/Biden must have saved 3 or 4 million... right????
a “pause in the recovery”?
the economy is only pining for the fjords (sarc)
If we average 450,000 new claims for unemployment every week, how are we not losing about 1.8 million jobs a month?
In the meantime, the controlling political faction in Washington, D.C. announced a new tactic in their ongoing war against natural born Americans...
...In the new suit, filed Monday, the Justice Department says Phoenix-area Maricopa Community Colleges (MCC) discriminated against almost 250 noncitizen job applicants by requiring them to fill out more documents than the law requires to prove their eligibility to work...
Heck, I saved 1,283,1426 jobs all by myself.
This sounds double plus good.
This is great news, another month we lost jobs. The only part is does it really matter anymore. The numbers are never accurate. Check for yourself on how main street is handling this recession - http://www.dailyjobcuts.com
Because, a bunch of people get hired during the month, too, and the new unemployment claims number doesn't show any info about them.
The problem right now is, that the number getting laid off exceeds the number being hired. That's why, at the end of the month, people look at net jobs added (or lost), at the total number of people on unemployment, and other measures such as the number of underemployed or discouraged unemployed who are technically out of the workforce.
We must be in REAL trouble...they didn’t even use the word “unexpectedly” in the article.
I can’t believe it took twelve posts?
Obama: "Mission Accomplished for August."
More “shovel ready crap” from Obama?....
Take heart!
We’re “headed in the right direction!!”

A lot of these are repeat claims, they work for a little while then "get laid off". Then they go back on the dole. LATHER-RINSE-REPEAT
