I have watched the video several times and I don’t see the man charging anyone. Seems like he was just getting up from his seated position.
As a retired police officer I am usually 100% behind police action, but on this one I have to go with the video proof and a question the judgment of the officer using the Taser.

There was one of those "three attorney" panels on FOX earlier today about this incident.....there may be MUCH more than meets the eye. I haven't gone to the link to see the video, but one of the lawyers said there was more than 30 minutes taped on this incident involving a threatening and 'suicidal' old fart. He was supposedly cajoled, pleaded with, and then warned over and over and over.
I ain't taking sides on this -- just adding input from someone who spent a lot of time viewing the entire scenario.
