Speaking of Palin.....

I see Bristol is going to dance with the stars. Honestly, I wish that girl would stay home and raise her son. She is going to be her mother’s downfall. I can’t help but wonder if she’s doing this intentionally for some reason. Bristol really isn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Ann Coulter pointed out to Laura Ingraham the other night that dancing with the stars pays their guests EXTREMELY WELL.

My guess is that Bristol Palin is trying on her own to support her daughter, since the deadbeat dad is off on a walk-about.

If so, more power to her for not demanding her parents support her.

No, it’s a very smart move.

Everyone who appears on DWTS comes away with people liking them more. Familiarity breeds comfort in TV-land. We tend to admire people who are trying to do something difficult, and if they come off looking graceful and energetic, all the better.

Sarah’s numbers will go up after this.

“Bristol really isn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer.”

And apples don’t fall far from the tree either.

I can’t help but wonder if she’s doing this intentionally for some reason.

Perhaps the reason is that the contestants are paid quite well and a 19 yr old single mom can use the money.

No, she won't.

Even Ronaldus Magnus had wayward children that had their shenanigans splashed all over the press, before he was elected President.

Agreed. Bristol has handled things badly, with her mug on People Magazine, entertainment news interviews, dancing shows, etc. It’s disrespectful to her whole family and unbecoming of a daughter of a possible presidential candidate. It’s unbecoming of any daughter to do this to her family. As a daughter myself, I find Bristol to be one french fry short of a Happy Meal. Bad taste in men too.

You may well be right. But it is a sad commentary that we have to worry about the behavior of young adult children of candidates. Anyone who has raised a "free spirit" knows that your control declines progressively from about fifteen onward.

I absolutely agree, and glad somebody said it. No, I don't think Sarah's numbers will go up with anybody who has a brain. Bristol may become the first daughter in history to to prevent her mother from being elected President of the United States. Somebody should have put a lid on that girl a long time ago, sorry.

You may be overlooking the less educated mentality of some voters who will be attracted to a mother with a daughter to whom they can relate. Since they are single mothers and would love to dance with the stars.

A mistake I have had to overcome is to think others (potential Palin voters) would all think the way you and I do. And possess our morals and tastes.

The “degradation” of our society may give Palin a boost from this “modern” daughter and mitigate for Palin’s conservative mindsets for whom they would not otherwise vote or support.
