No foul, it was a good point to raise it for those who also did not. As a vet from the VietNam era, I can honestly say that I would have followed that man into the gates of hell in the quest for our adversary.
He is the personification of a leader which we sorely need in the bubble of DC. Sadly, I am not anywhere near his district but obviously a Florida voter.
I donate to his campaign all the same and will never send any money to the NRSC or NRCC. At one time it made sense before the internet.

However, if Sarah were black I would not vote for herYou do realize you admitted to be a racist
Personally, we all bleed red. The color of one skin is determined by who your parents are.
Your character, belief system, principles, morals, ethics are who you really are. If a black Palin had all the same traits as a white Palin, what would be the difference between the two ?

Some would but the majority would not. Those that live in rural communities probably would but those who live in the large cities would not. Unless Jesse Jackson, Al Sharption, The Dempcrat Party, or the media told them to.

A lot of Republicans once thought Colin Powell was pretty cool -- but I've since seen that he values skin color over conservative ideology.
A lot of Republicans once thought Condoleeza Rice was pretty cool -- but I've since seen that she values skin color over conservative ideology.
A lot of Republicans once thought Michael Steele was pretty cool -- but I've since seen that he values skin color over conservative ideology.
There's so much explicit racism within the black community, that if I want a politician to be color-blind, I have no real choice other than to vote for non-blacks. I want a color-blind president -- which is why I won't vote for a black.

Its entirely possible that President Obama has poisoned the well for at least a generation. Blacks make up about 1/8 of the US population. The average president's time in office is 5 years. Even picking people at random the expected time until electing another black president is 40 years. That's headed towards two generations.

Obama Won't Be First Black President
Vaughn's research shows Jefferson was not the only former black U.S. president. Who were the others? Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln, Warren Harding and Calvin Coolidge. But why was this unknown? How were they elected president? All five of these presidents never acknowledged their black ancestry.
Jefferson, who served two terms between 1801 and 1809, was described as the "son of a half-breed Indian squaw and a Virginia mulatto father," as stated in Vaughn's findings. Jefferson also was said to have destroyed all documentation attached to his mother, even going to extremes to seize letters written by his mother to other people.
President Andrew Jackson, the nation's seventh president, was in office between 1829 and 1837. Vaughn cites an article written in The Virginia Magazine of History that Jackson was the son of an Irish woman who married a black man. The magazine also stated that Jackson's oldest brother had been sold as a slave.
Lincoln, the nation's 16th president, served between 1861 and 1865. Lincoln was said to have been the illegitimate son of an African man, according to Leroy's findings. Lincoln had very dark skin and coarse hair and his mother allegedly came from an Ethiopian tribe. His heritage fueled so much controversy that Lincoln was nicknamed "Abraham Africanus the First" by his opponents.
President Warren Harding, the 29th president, in office between 1921 and 1923, apparently never denied his ancestry. According to Vaughn, William Chancellor, a professor of economics and politics at Wooster College in Ohio, wrote a book on the Harding family genealogy. Evidently, Harding had black ancestors between both sets of parents. Chancellor also said that Harding attended Iberia College, a school founded to educate fugitive slaves.
Coolidge, the nation's 30th president, served between 1923 and 1929 and supposedly was proud of his heritage. He claimed his mother was dark because of mixed Indian ancestry. Coolidge's mother's maiden name was "Moor" and in Europe the name "Moor" was given to all blacks just as "Negro" was used in America. It later was concluded that Coolidge was part black.
The only difference between Obama and these former presidents is that none of their family histories were fully acknowledged by others. Even though Obama is half-white, he strongly resembles his Kenyan father. And not only is Obama open about his ancestry, most people acknowledge him as a black man, which is why people identify Obama as the first black president of the United States.

You know, this is *not* a personal attack on the op but on the topic itself.
I really loathe articles like this.
My first thought is — here we go again — color of one’s skin. This makes as much sense as the color of one’s shoes having an effect on one’s capabilities.
Secondly, although we can not know for sure unless Obama submits his DNA for testing, Obama is half black and half white. Therefore, he is just as much white as he is black. He might be our first mulatto President, but he’s certainly not “black” even though he likes to claim that he is.

Personally I vote the candidate, not the color or sex. However, my sense is the country will see the next black democrat president the fifth of never.

Unfortunately, it will be a very, very long time. The reason for this is that the political system is hamstrung when it comes to Black candidates. The political process is adversarial and rather nasty at times. It serves to reveal everything there is to know about a candidate’s past and fitness for office. Personal, financial, and professional flaws are discovered, discussed, and weighed. The voters then decide if the candidate is worthy of office.
With Obama, this examination was suppressed. By design by Obama who had plenty to hide and spent plenty to hide his sordid past. But, also by the press who both adored him and firmly held to the artificial bounds of political correctness. His opponents dared not tread on ground that would have skewered him for his abject lack of qualifications and experience for the Office of President. He got a free pass from everyone and we are all paying the price.
This will not happen again, not because the political establishment will behave differently, they won’t. But, in the privacy of the voting booth, Americans will decline to take a chance. Can you blame them?

When we can elect a President based not by the color of his skin, but by the content of his character, then we’ll see another black President.
Obama was elected because of his color. His color was so important to the left and the media that all other qualities were overlooked. He’s the shining example of why Affirmative Action doesn’t work.
