I think I agree with the Byrd family. Using a picture from the funeral is in bad taste.

It’s too bad we apparently don’t have any pictures of Meacham campaigning with Obama in 2008, but this is exploitive, using the two of them meeting at a funeral.

I’ll bet if Obama was popular, the Byrd family wouldn’t object to Gov. Manchin using that photo in a campaign ad.

OR this picture, showing Manchin smiling talking energy policy with the two people who want to put coal mines out of business, destroying his state's economy:

In fact, they should re-post the ad twice a day, every day, each time replacing the picture they had with ANOTHER picture of Manchin buddying up to Obama.

I still think it is in poor taste to use a picture from a funeral, but now I know it wasn't exploitive (thinking they could only get such a picture because of the funeral).
