As CIC, Obama should be the point man on this issue. I have no problem with him saying that the church has a right to burn the Korans, but he questions the wisdom of doing so since it might endanger our troops and hurt our Muslim allies in Afghanistan and Iraq as well as in the Middle East.

The Embassy is just following orders as is Petraeus. Obama is MIA on this issue.

Obama has a responsibility to our troops. The burning of Korans is an extreme just like radical Islam. There are over 1 billion Muslims in the world. We should condemn extremism regardless of where it comes from, including from Islam. In Saudi Arabia, it is illegal to even bring in a bible to the country.

Obama has a responsibility to our troops.

The media's hyping of the Abu Ghraib photos (so they could try to oust Bush from office in 2004) did our troops and Iraqi citizens serious harm. It emboldened the muslim jihadists who flooded into Iraq from other nations to wages acts of terrorism.

The Wikileaks treason also does our troops harm.

The Communist funded ANSWER also did our troops harm.

Bit late to close the barn door on it now by saying that US citizens no longer have the right to be disrespectful of another person's religous text.

Even Marilyn Manson was permitted to tear up Christian bibles in civic owned venues.
