>>>”It’s more constructive to say, fund the Iranian resistance, stand with Israel,...”
I would agree w/you, if the “Iranian resistance” was *entirely* non-Islamic (a secular one, not socialist or communist as some like to portray the alternative). It isn’t.
Unfortunately, many belonging to the “Green Movement” are pro the same & current Islamic regime. The ones who want a secular govt are marginalized by the “moderates” & “hardliners” of the present Islamic regime in Iran.
Burning the Koran, imo, is reactive & may work to the detriment of the U.S. so long as the U.S. & its troops remains in the ME & muslim countries. The U.S. needs to severe all relations with the Muslim world to see a shift in behavior from them. The U.S. won’t, and can’t do it.. long history behind it.. so we keep going around in circles, rhetoric, PC statements, reactive responses & *containment*.
As for Israel, she won’t do anything by herself, unless absolutely forced to do it. One wonders why despite all said about renowned ability of Mossad, Mossad hasn’t been able to terminate or attack at least one prominent Islamic regime figure in Iran in 31 yrs! Go figure! The only group which has been able to launch an attack on IRI was MeK! and MeK was thereafter listed as a *terrorist group* by the US and many EU countries after IRI pressured the American & Europeans govts! So, who is the boss?
Interesting post, odds. I’m going to read more on the subjects you mention.
