Obama to skip 9/11 Ground Zero ceremony
americanthinker.com ^ | 9-7-10 | Thomas Lifson

President Obama will mark 9/11 at the Pentagon, as he did last year, rather than risk facing angry demonstrators at Ground Zero, where his convoluted remarks and walk back on the Ground Zero mosque might subject him to criticism "like a dog." So the families of the vast majority of 9/11 casualties will be stiff-armed by a thin-skinned commander in chief.

Not exactly a profile in courage.

He’s not going because he knows it would be seen as a Muslim standing over the site, equivocating. He won’t be able to resist defending the Muslim hordes and trashing U. S. citizens in the process.

With all of the planes and helicopters this guy has at his disposal, you would think he could make it to both. Just tell him the the NY ceremony is a DNC fund raiser, and he'd fly across the country.

“At the Pentagon, Zero and his minions can control the make-up of the crowd. There will be cherry-picked Obama uber-lovers, all ready to act enraptured as Zero ladles it on.”

Exactly. A BS photo-op is there ever was one. I hope stone faced silence greets him at the podium.

-I am glad he is not going. It would be an insult,
a slap in the face of America.
He would have been booed by the New York crowds.
He knows that at the Pentagon the crowd will be made up of
restrained military personnel that won’t boo. -

AMEN! I was going to say that but now I’ll just agree with you.
People can bitch that he’s not going to NY,
but the SOB doesn’t deserve to show his face at the site
of the fallen Twin Towers, where Americans were murdered
by by the evil ‘religion’ he defends and upholds.

And yes, the Pentagon is the obvious choice because
he has to be somewhere, and the military will be much quieter
than the crowds in NY will be.

Notice mrs posotus will also not be in NY.

If JFK had actually written the book, your argument would hold a little more water.

Absolutely. He knows Americans don't want him anywhere near Ground Zero after his vocal support of the Ground Zero Mosque.

Does that remark show how he regards his own pet dog BO? I think he was lobbing a word bomb at the conservatives because muslims don’t have dogs as pets and to regard him as one would be interpreted as lowly.

I was reacting to the statement made that JFK was the ultimate narcissist in writing Profiles in Courage. My point was that at least JFK could at least honor others. I did not realize the politics attached to that piece. I’m guessing the 40 years since I’ve read it, it has lost some lustre.

I like my dog. I never criticize my dog except when she steals food from the dinner table. If our dear leader was treated like a dog, he would be loved by all.

Zero thinks that accusing conservatives of treating him like a dog is a word bomb on us, but it's not. He looks whiny and just using that word in conjunction with himself diminishes him and his presidency.

IMHO the man is not intelligent and isn't even a particularly good speaker. I think he's gotten along in life by affirmative action and being able to parrot back to liberal academicians and politicians what they want to hear. I'd sure like to see those school transcripts.

Think what you will about JFK, but as he authored “Profiles in Courage

I thought he had a ghost writer.

“Notice mrs posotus will also not be in NY.”

Yes, she has made it abundantly clear she was not proud of her country at that time, or any time for that matter, before her husband was elected.

"like a dog"

And that's another thing he got wrong.
We do not treat him like a dog -
We don't like him nearly that much and it's disparaging to dogs.

I see him more on the level of a dog's favorite leg.
