“If Rahm does run, how likely is it, really, that he’d lose?... (rhetorical)”

I don’t know anything about Chicago politics, except what I read on the Net (primarily FR). The guys at hillbuzz say that Rahm wouldn’t win the primary as he’d be ‘outed’. They think “the Dem candidate will be either Sherriff Tom Dart…or less likely, State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez.”

They are saying that the Tea Party (and conservatives) should support Adam Andrzewski (”He’s a small businessman who ran a successful company that enabled him to retire at an early age — and he’s devoted himself to charitable projects since, as well as ringing the clarion call for Illinois to get its financial house in order.”)

Some of the posters say they’ve heard Adam speak at some Tea Party events and he will be at the Tea Party Rally on Sept 12th at Morton Grove at 1 pm. He ran in the primaries for IL Governor and received an endorsement from Lech Walesa.

Interesting. Thanks, I know a bit about Chicago politics, mostly FR also, but didn't really know the frontrunners. Mostly because I had not anticipated any circumstance under which Daly would willingly give up office. (It must be a good one!) Andrzewski would be a real asset to Chicago, from the sounds of it, but how likely (and what a coup!) that he'd pull it off?

And when you say 'outed', you mean 'outed' outed? Like McGreevey of NJ (wife, boyfriend on the side)?
