.40 in Glock = KB

I have about 10k rounds through one of my Glock 27's with no KB's.

Since you seem to think you are an expert on them please let me know what I am doing wrong.

I haven't been able to KB one so I have asked the expert what I am doing wrong. I assume he has years of experience shooting and smithing on Glocks.

Probably something technical like needing to pack the barrel with mud or something I haven't done.

Me or the other MILLIONS of happy Glock owners for that matter.

Doesn’t it seem ironic that a party that hates firearms and tries to gin up fear of weapons is really arming up it’s law enforcement agencies? Add to that all the new requirements for companies to buy American while they purchase arms from Austria.
Just thinking.

I haven’t tried those models, just the USP.

They may not be as blocky and un-ergonomic as my USP.

I love their MP5’s, though...

Guess I'm an old fart...what about these?

Oh well. The ATF chooses their gun to use, and I get to choose mine...

It’s kind of like a deal on helicopters or missile systems; there is no relation between dollars spent and actual numbers procured.

The ergonomics on the HK P30 are the best I’ve ever felt. The USP Compact is pretty much like the USP. Same general design, its just a bit smaller and more concealable.

I actually didn’t care much for the grips on the Glocks that I tried. I found them uncomfortable, and they actually started irritating my hand after a few hundred rounds.

I haven't been able to KB one so I have asked the expert what I am doing wrong

the most common cause of the kb on glocks is stupidity. cop takes a cartridge, loads it in the mag, and racks the slide. after duty, he removes the shell and replaces it in the mag. doing this over and over a couple hundred times seats the bullet much further than is safe and eventually will get to the point where when it is fired, the pressure is too high for the gun. KB.

Makes one wonder why so many “experts” schooled by hearsay on Google blame Glocks for cop stupidity.

Maybe they would be better off going to the range rather than a search engine to learn about firearms.

That’s neat to hear.

I agree about the ergonomics on Glocks. I like mine because they are reliable, have the same trigger pull single/double and are very strong, but the best ergonomics I’ve felt are my Walther 99, Colt Officer’s Model and SIG 229.

I usually carry my G30, though...

See ya’,

guncrafters slide conversion

Oh man - that is too much. Why do they only make it for the 20/21 ?

The round is BIG......those are the only frames the slide works on...... factory ammunition is available as a 185 grain CHP at 1200 fps and a 230 grain CHP at 1000 fps, these 50 GI loads packs roughly 600 and 500 foot pounds of energy, respectively. Due to the large caliber and low working pressure of the 50 GI cartridge the recoil is amazingly mild, comparable to a .45 ACP +P, and a lot less than a 10 MM. These loads can be shot fast and accurately with excellent control, the ideal self defense round.

http://www.guncrafterindustries.com/50gi-chp.shtml

standard power factory round drives a 300gr. bullet at 700-725fps, which translates into a 210 power factor. Felt recoil of this offering is comparable to a 230gr. .45ACP hardball factory round. Another of the factory loads drives a 275gr. bullet at 875fps which delivers even more serious stopping power downrange while having felt recoil similar to a 10mm.

http://www.guncrafterindustries.com/50gi_cartridge.shtml

The first few out had the matt silver finish.....the new ones are black like tenifer but actual finish is unknown to me as I have the matt silver.

I have a about a 2000 rounds through it an it is smooth.....

I have the dies and such an love it......get ya one !

Take note of the ballistic comparison chart and tayloy ratings.......:o)

I am using the new CHP 185’s now for carry...... I have the 275gr JHP and the 300gr JFP........

This is my carry rig, chamber empty, dry fired trigger, full magazine IWB w/o a holster. Spare mag is carried in my left side ruler pocket of my carpenter jeans.

Works well for my CHL needs and daily carry a lot and shoot a little.

Why the dry-fired trigger?

I have fed my G21 & G30 several thousand rounds without any KB, granted I only use commercial ammo and no reloads. That being said I love both of them. They are highly reliable and accurate but as a Glock are very unforgiving of sloppy handling. I also do not keep chambering and ejecting the same round over and over so as to slowly re-seat the bullet deeper into the casing and cause overpressure.
