The Unreported Side Of The Quran Burning Story
09/10/10 | Typical_Whitey

The President is not a stupid man. He is a very cunning, shrewd and formitable politician. He desperately needs a crisis, one that pits Conservatives against Liberals, one that his Liberal base will rally to his side and become enthused about in order save the Democrats control of the Congress in the coming election.

For Nine Years there has never been a Public Quran burning or even the threat of one, Why?

On Aug 13th the President speaking at a Ramadan dinner celebration at the White House said "Let me be clear: as a citizen, and as President, I believe that Muslims have the same right to practice their religion as anyone else in this country, that includes the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in lower Manhattan, in accordance with local laws and ordinances."

Yes the President was very clear, he chose to ignore the wisdom of our founders, who had made it quite clear in their time, that there should be a seperation between the government and the religious institutions. Everyone already knew that Imam Rauf had the "right" to build a Mosque at ground zero. The question that most logical thinking people were asking, was how could he be persuaded not to build it there? The President made it quite clear that it would be built.

Fast forward to yesterday September 9th, when a little known pastor in Gainsville Florida received calls from the Secretary of Defense imploring him not to burn Quarans in fear that it would inflame tensions in the Muslim community. The pastor is being set up to take the blame for any retribution from any Muslim attack in any part of the world.

It probably wasn’t part of any plan, but the pastor set up a corollary situation to the Ground Zero mosque for Obama to respond to. Obama’s answers were:

1. The pastor has a constitutional right to burn Korans, but he should not because we must be sensitive to Moslem sensibilities.

2. The Moslems have a constitutional right to build the Ground Zero mosque, and Americans should not try to prevent it no matter how offensive it is. Moslems don’t have to consider the sensitivities of Americans.

So, Muslims must not be offended, but Americans in general can be offended.

A few in the conservative media are beginning to make this point clear, and it will probably make Obama even less popular if it is discussed widely and often. And, a Koran burning is very temporary. That offensive mosque would be for decades or centuries.

Dunno..obviously the best choice at the time. He at the time was friendly to the mid east due to the Americas oil dependency.

I will make sure my carbonized Koran has a Barack Hussein Obama signature on it.

That way when Obama meets Allah he gets not his 72 virgins but a 72 year old virgin...ladyboy.

In his 8 years as president did Bush every say anything positive about Christianity. I don’t remember it. He said plenty about how great a religion Islam is.

Yes, President Bush spoke highly of Christianity, went to church on sunday, and prayed with his staff from time to time.
During his 1st campaign, he campaigned as a “born again Christian.

Bush was a church attending Christian... just involved in some salemanship/statemanship too!

When Sept 11 rolled around you could see his mettle. I clearly remember the looks in his eyes. Totally of a different nature from the current pres. Totally.

Fred Phelps is pissed! He keeps reminding us that he burnt a few in 2008 and nobody gave a flip.

The 9/11 Victory Mosque is going nowhere fast. Rauf did not get any dough from the petro-sheiks during his recent triumphal tour of the Arab World.

Unless Obama gives him a hundred million in stimulus bucks or Mayor Bloomberg opens up HIS checkbook, it ain’t gonna be built.

“The very first act of the new Bush administration was to have a Protestant Evangelist minister officially dedicate the inauguration to Jesus Christ, whom he declared to be ‘our savior.’ Invoking ‘the Father, the Son, the Lord Jesus Christ’ and ‘the Holy Spirit,’ Billy Graham’s son, the man selected by President George W Bush to bless his presidency, excluded the tens of millions of Americans who are Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, Shintoists, Unitarians, agnostics, and atheists from his blessing by his particularistic and parochial language.
“The plain message conveyed by the new administration is that George W Bush’s America is a Christian nation and that non-Christians are welcome into the tent so long as they agree to accept their status as a tolerated minority rather than as fully equal citizens. In effect, Bush is saying: ‘This is our home, and in our home we pray to Jesus as our savior. If you want to be a guest in our home, you must accept the way we pray.’”
— Alan M Dershowitz, in “Bush Starts Off by Defying the the Constitution,” Los Angeles Times, January 24, 2001

Also interesting is that the Ground Zero Mosque is being paid for by the Rockefellers and that the Imam is a member of the CFR
