If we live in a country that educates people so poorly that they believe nuclear power plants can "blow-up" (like thermonuclear warhead), we have MUCH BIGGER problems than Al Qeada, because we clearly would have a country of imbeciles.

Welcome to the party, pal. We live in a country where people are far dumber and believe far more asinine things than that. Why don't we have an advanced nuclear power program now? Answer: because millions of gullible Americans believed the Left when they said that nuclear power plants are going to kill or mutate everyone. Of course, then the Left says that fossil-fuel plants are causing the earth to warm up, and everyone believes that. Basically, the Left won't be happy until all of the peasants are living in mud huts with no running water.

But would one really need a tactical nuke to sabotage a nuclear power plant. Surely once inside the perimeter, much havoc can be wreaked through much more conventional methods?

However, if a nuke was smuggled in, I don't think the U.S. government can keep an item of that magnitude under wraps for long. At least, under this administration, I hope not.
