Question: Should the new GOP majority call on Obama to resign? (Not an excerpt, just asking)

Posted on 09/14/2010 6:02:14 PM PDT by USALiberty

OK... by now it is clear that the Kenyan Usurper is not only the worst president of all time, but one of the most unpopular. The American public -- even those who claim to like Barry a little bit -- have lost confidence in him. This is an intolerable situation that is unprecedented in modern times. Not even Carter saw such a huge, obvious meltdown.

It's also pretty clear that the Republicans will seize convincing majorities in both houses of Congress in November. I expect as many as 100 picked-up seats in the House and a re-taking of the Senate. That result will confirm the resounding rejection of Barry O. by the American people.

For the sake of American security, national pride and common sense, shouldn't the GOP-controlled Congress pass a resolution strongly urging Obama to resign? I think so. I think that will be called for.

Ideally, the resolution also would call on Biden to resign as well. But maybe that would be going too far.

Thoughts?

Yes. For the good of the country he should resign. However , if he is indeed an illegal alien would that negate all his appointments , the vice president and any and all of the legislation he has advanced? It would have all been put for by a man, a person, who was not a legal American citizen, correct?

I'll take what you're smoking - The notion of a 100 seat pick up in the House just doesn't happen - Gerrymandering alone won't see that happen - Anything over 60 is almost crazy -

Though I do agree with you that Obama, even with all the non-stop MSM positive press / spin has the American public turning away from him like no other POTUS in modern history...

It would be a mistake for Republicans to push him out of office.

Let the Dems eat him.

He will already be able to spend the next 2 years blaming any failures of gridlock caused by the majority party. You don’t need to make him a martyr on top of it by asking him to resign. He won’t want to run for a second term anyway. He’s seen the millions that the dirt-poor Clintons walked away with and he wants a piece of the action.

Not only no, but Hell no!
That would make JOE BIDEN president.
Think Ted Baxter as President of the United States.

The US is in for some extremely tough times regardless of who is President. Let Obama and the Dems take the blame. Let Obama veto every good idea Congress can pass, and then blame him for the horrible consequences of his vetoes.

It would be wasting political capital and time trying to get the Alien president to resign. Better to go after the tax cheat Treasury Secretary, the corrupt Attorney General Holder, all of the various so-called "Czars", and maybe some of the more loathsome cabinet secretaries. If the Republicans get control of the House I'd like to see them kick out Rangel, Barney Frank and Pelosi.

No victory laps and self-congratulation. Less than two years ago, Republicans were afraid of their party disintegrating and the death of conservatism and small government. Pursue a conservative Republican agenda instead of bombast. Let Obama hang himself.

I can’t believe the people on this thread. Resign, no - but not because Biden would be president. The usurping Kenyan Klown should not slink off into obscurity but be in court, as the defendent.

And then deported back to whichever country he’s legally the citizen of; maybe Kenya and Indonesia can fight over him.
