'This Changes Everything' (O'Donnell's Win: Much More Than Just About One Race)

This Changes Everything'

By Robert Stacy McCain on 9.15.10 @ 6:10AM

DOVER, Delaware -- Christine O'Donnell did not merely defeat Mike Castle in Tuesday's Senate primary. She beat the Republican establishment, both nationally and in Delaware, and she beat a veritable army of naysayers who said she couldn't do it.

O'Donnell also beat a vicious negative attack campaign into which her Republican opponents dumped every bit of trash they could find. Yet this had no apparent effect on the Tea Party-backed, Sarah Palin-endorsed candidate, who won with 53 percent of the vote to Castle's 47 percent. Her little-known Democratic opponent, Chris Coons, can't possibly hit O'Donnell with anything worse than she got from the GOP establishment. And despite all of it, she managed to be magnanimous in victory.

Yahoo headline said, GOP dream derailed by Tea party.

The leftist media in this country sickens me. Like it’s a bad thing that Christine won?

Some of these districts are written off as unwinnable, when with a few extra $$ a candidate with the Ronald Reagan message could win, especially given the job loss, the higher taxes and obamacare. Reagan proved that when he won.

I know they’ve written of the US 9th TN where we have an arrogant POS 2 term obama butt kisser Steve Cohen. Who says he votes like a black woman, (he’s a white, Jew) BUT won’t debate his black, GOP, Memphis Tea Party backed candidate she won 61% of the primary vote over 2 other male candidates.

The parties had been learn quickly that we’re done taking orders from politicians, and from now on, politicians will be taking orders from us!

There is no question that the Tea Party will have its chance this November. The only question is whether it can make the score.

As I’ve stated last night, the MSM and Beltway boys will be either downplaying this victory, or they’ll try to spin it.

They can posture to their hearts desire. That’s what elitists do, but we’re not paying any attention. We The People are currently engaged in a battle over this country, and talking heads aren’t going to get in our way.

FROM THE MSM/BELTWAY:

“The essence of the establishment’s criticism O’Donnell is that she is a “flawed” candidate who can’t win in November.”

What a joke.

Yeppers.

Christine will pick a LOT of independents and believe it or not democrats.

In fact, she liberated Delaware to have a choice in the direction they want to go. Like MA, they are not binded now to support a dynasty.

Armed with a renewed enthusiasm and interest in the Founders' ideas of liberty, American citizens are awakening. As they awaken to the threats to their liberty as individuals, they are exercising their Constitution's provision for self-government, not government by an elected set of despots.

"An enlightened people, and an energetic public opinion... will control and enchain the aristocratic spirit of the government." --Thomas Jefferson to Chevalier de Ouis, 1814. ME 14:130

"I know no safe depositary of the ultimate powers of the society but the people themselves; and if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise their control with a wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it from them, but to inform their discretion by education. This is the true corrective of abuses of constitutional power." --Thomas Jefferson to William C. Jarvis, 1820.

"Every government degenerates when trusted to the rulers of the people alone. The people themselves, therefore, are its only safe depositories. And to render even them safe, their minds must be improved to a certain degree." --Thomas Jefferson: Notes on Virginia, 1782.

"Educate and inform the whole mass of the people. Enable them to see that it is their interest to preserve peace and order, and they will preserve them. And it requires no very high degree of education to convince them of this. They are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty." --Thomas Jefferson to James Madison, 1787.

"Whenever the people are well-informed, they can be trusted with their own government." --Thomas Jefferson to Richard Price, 1789.

"Whenever things get so far wrong as to attract their notice, the people, if well informed, may be relied on to set them to rights." --Thomas Jefferson to Richard Price, 1789.

"Although all men are born free, and all nations might be so, yet too true it is, that slavery has been the general lot of the human race. Ignorant – they have been cheated; asleep – they have been surprised; divided – the yoke has been forced upon them. But what is the lesson?... The people ought to be enlightened, to be awakened, to be united, that after establishing a government they should watch over it." - James Madison

Reading the comments, this was my favorite:

“The best way for the Tea partiers to take over the Republican Party is to starve it and feed the candidates. This makes the king-makers irrelevant.”

That leaves a mark NRSC and Rove.

For years, Americans have complained about the two-party system. Now is the time for the independents to show their support for anti-establishment Constitutionalists!

The TP in Nov. is like a FB team going for the win with a two point conversion with no time on the clock as opposed to kicking the extra point and hoping for overtime. If they convert, genius. Fail, and the second guessing will be non-stop.

Note to Carl Rove: Read Ronald Reagan’s 11th commandment...

“Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Republican.”

Here are the results of Delaware Senate election of 2008 when Obama snookered the country. It gives some perspective on the task ahead of us. It can be done, but it's going to take lots of $$$ - so lets try to enlist everyone possible to take down the RAT in Delaware in November.

Delaware only has 3 counties (plus city of Wilmington / Rat Hole):

..........................BIDEN......O'DONNEL
WILMINGTON:.........25,920......3,367
RURAL New Castle:..151,150.....66,124
KENT:.........................37,074.....27,981
SUSSEX:....................43,395.....43,123
TOTALS:..................257,539....140,595
