Don't expect to see comics from Molly Norris any time soon.
The Seattle-based cartoonist landed on a terrorist hit-list this summer, and now her former employer confirms that she's "going ghost."
Norris garnered international attention earlier this year when she drew a cartoon calling for "Everybody Draw Mohammed Day!" The movement gained popularity on Facebook, causing Pakistan to temporarily block the site.
Seattle Weekly editor Mark Fefer wrote Wednesday that Norris' cartoons will no longer appear in that paper or in City Arts magazine.
"You may have noticed that Molly Norris' comic is not in the paper this week," he wrote in this article. "That's because there is no more Molly."
Fefer wrote that Norris is essentially entering the witness protection program, but without government assistance. That involves "moving, changing her name, and essentially wiping away her identity."
He wrote that the cartoonist has a sense of humor about the situation:
Norris views the situation with her customary sense of the world's complexity, and absurdity. When FBI agents, on a recent visit, instructed her to always keep watch for anyone following her, she responded, "Well, at least it'll keep me from being so self-involved!" It was, she says, the first time the agents managed a smile. She likens the situation to cancer--it might basically be nothing, it might be urgent and serious, it might go away and never return, or it might pop up again when she least expects it.

Worth repeating, Mr. Mojo. As I posted last weekend, Mecca & Medina the Twin Towers of Totalitarianism would be a good start. 9-11-11 the 10 year anniversary would be an appropriate date. The citizens could be given fail warning to show compassion.

The world who is not God's own is in Satan's pocket, and is his puppet. Have you ever watched TV, and shouted at it, saying, "What is wrong with these people?"
What is wrong with them is they are blind to the truth.
The Double Standard against all that is good will continue.
Move to a CCW state and start packing serious heat.
The Left has proven itself cowardly. That they are not screaming at the top of their lungs at this outrage is something to remind them in every debate about the First Amendment from now on.
This means, sadly, that violence works, but mostly on cowards.
They are now banning artists, and no one screams. What frauds!
If we believe in freedom of speech, we need to protect people like Molly Norris.
The more people who see this, the more patriots the US will have.
