Obama: I'm not walking away from immigration reform

President Barack Obama assured Hispanics on Wednesday he was not walking away from immigration reform while expressing disappointment that he had not delivered on a 2008 promise to overhaul U.S. policy.

Obama, a Democrat who is ramping up his rhetoric against Republicans ahead of November 2 congressional elections, said only cooperation from both parties would allow reforms to advance.

He blamed Republicans for backing away from reform and urged Hispanics -- an important and growing voting bloc -- to continue giving him the support they gave during his presidential campaign.

"Now, I know that many of you campaigned hard for me, and understandably you're frustrated that we have not been able to move this over the finish line yet. I am too," he told a gala dinner for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, referring to immigration reform.

"But let me be clear: I will not walk away from this fight. My commitment is getting this done as soon as we can. We can't keep kicking this challenge down the road."

He needs to run away from it. I still haven’t found anyone who could tell me WHY we need “immigration reform”. Nobody seems to know.

“WHY we need “immigration reform”...”

Because the Ruling Class intends to use it to put out the Tea Party fire lit by We the People.

Best answer I’ve been able to get yet. Most people just shrug their shoulders.

An issue which Obama shares with Dubya. Two ruling class elitists when it comes to amnesty for illegals.

How else are Dems going to get another 20 million votes to steal all elections? It’s getting really hard to manufacture those votes from the dead.

I really believe that's all there is to it.

The Ruling Class wants a more compliant electorate.

It's disgusting to contemplate. But likely true.

In the absence of immigration reform...the probability of the Ruling Class being deposed successfully rises dramatically.

“Immigration Reform” sufficiently dilutes the power of We the People that the Ruling Class might yet be able to post-pone the inevitable.

Immigration reform yeah, this country needs it badly.

Bs amnesty and more pandering to tech companies looking for sub-wage workers.............uh no.

Not to mention the cartels would not have been able to get where they are if it wasn’t for human trafficking. At this point we don’t even really need a fence because of what the border’s turned into.

It used to be dehydration and the occasional rogue “coyote” now it is ending up in a mass grave outside some nameless border town.

Obama: I'm not walking away from immigration reform

I can see that.

The Community Organizer has:

- sued a US state (Arizona) who even tried to find out who its illegal invaders were during routine police questioning

- sent Arizona 30 troops for its border when it asked for 3,000+, and then rubbed salt in the wound by placing signs in the desert telling American citizens to stay out of there because it was dangerous

- harassed Arizona's best sherriff with civil rights charges and other nonsense because the illegal lobby resented how effective he was

- stopped construction of the border fence

- conspired with Harry Reid to put an amnesty clause into the Senate Defense Bill (along with a sodomy promotion clause)

- nudged ICE, DHS, and the FBI to turn away from enforcing laws against illegals, and instead focus on "right-wing extremists"

The Ruling Class wants a more compliant electorate.

I don't see much compliance in 20-40 M illegal immigrants from south of the border. They may support the dems now, many, because it gets the foot in the door, but their loyalties do not extend to the dems, rather to themselves and their "race", as it were.
