Obama to Conn. for Blumenthal
Politico.com ^ | 09/16/2010 | Maggie Haberman

I reported two weeks ago that President Barack Obama would be heading to Connecticut for an intimate DNC dinner of about 50 people at $30,400 a head, and now the White House has announced that Obama will also be stumping for U.S. Senate hopeful Richard Blumenthal while he's there.

A source tells me the event will be Sept. 16, the same day as the DNC fundraiser, at the Marriott Hotel in Stamford, Conn. The DNC event is at a private home in nearby Greenwich.

Blumenthal said in a statement, "His visit will make a difference for us, energizing our supporters and helping us raise the resources we need against my opponent who is spending an unprecedented $50 million on her campaign.”

It means the president, who's been heavily in demand for fundraising help by some embattled Democrats, is heading to what had until May been viewed as a safe seat for Democrats, making Blumenthal's race against self-funding WWE chief executive Linda McMahon one of his first general election season stops. The most recent Quinnipiac University poll showed a 10-point spread, closer heading into the fall than Democrats care for.

If you are the sitting Democrat President, and you have to travel to CT to campaign for the long-time Democrat politician who is running to fill a seat being vacated by a 5-term Democrat GIANT, then you are in a world of hurt.

Don’t expect Zero to show his face around any battleground districts for the next two months.

LOL..... they actually found a Demagogue candidate who’s willing to be associated with Obama in this election season?

Had to go to one of the “bluest” states to find one, even Feingold was in hiding when Obama visited, but lo and behold they found someone!

I can't imagine how Obama can help Blumenthal in CT. He's just advertising that McMahon is a serious candidate, to be reckoned with. Am I missing something here?

Last time Obama did a fundraiser in CT, it was for Chris Dodd’s reelection campaign in the early Spring. How did that work out? Let keep Obama’s record perfect; every candidate he supports, loses.

Blumenthal on numerous occasions said he served IN Vietnam instead of during the Vietnam years (stateside)

Blumenthal = Bloviator

This came out full force in the news back in May
Don’t let it die out...
Blumenthal is a LIAR

“President Barack Obama would be heading to Connecticut for an intimate DNC dinner of about 50 people at $30,400 a head”

You have to prove you’re a hypocrite before they admit you to their party.

Two guys named `Luke` and `Butch` have challenged me and Obama to a tag team event. Who are `Luke` and `Butch`?

Come on Blumenthal were waiting for your answer... You insulted our boss lady
