A New Zealand politician resigned from his party Friday after admitting he stole a dead baby's identity to obtain a false passport 26 years ago.

Lol? He read how easy it used to be to get a legit fake ID by using the old dead baby trick, so he made a stupid decision to try it himself. There’s no indication he did anything illegal beyond that, and remember, this was long before the days of the “Identity Theft” panic. People used to do this all the time, to get fake ID’s for underage drinking.
