News flash from the AFL-CIOs blog:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When U.S., corporations sit on more than $800 billion without creating jobs, when banks hoard more than $1 trillion in profits without lending to small businesses and consumers and when health insurance companies with tens of billions in profits demand huge premium increases, there are only two words to describe such greed says AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka:
Economic treason!
Addressing the Ohio AFL-CIO convention in Columbus today, Trumka called on union members to mobilize and rally behind economic patriots in a knock down drag-out fight against the false populism and name calling that Tea Party and Republican leaders . . .

Hate to tell you, Dick, but its even worse. U.S. corporations actually hold a trillion more than you say $1.8 trillion, according to the Federal Reserve.
Does anyone in the AFL-CIOs donut lounge pause to ask why corporations arent hiring or banks lending? Of course, you would have to talk to a real employer or banker to get the answers. I have. Here is what they say:
1. Corporations arent hiring because Congress and the Obama Administration, particularly with health care, have made it costlier to do so in a time of slowing growth.
2. Banks arent lending because small business is getting kicked in the teeth. The survivors are playing defense. Large businesses can tap the equity or bond markets, the latter at very favorable rates. Oh, and did you stop to think that Washington strangely is attacking banks from both sides chastising them for not lending, and restricting their ability to make risky loans?
Damnable rich people, says Dick Trumka. He is asking union members to mobilize and rally behind economic patriots. Let me tell you about Trumkas patriots.

you are a traitor of you do not go in debt to have an employee?
Americans want to know.
they are feeling the heat now!
Keep up the good work people, going Galt is starting to show dividends.
I am just hunkering down, paying down debts, cutting spending and trying to reduce my tax burden as much as possible. I also avoid like the plague government run things like GM.
, when banks hoard more than $1 trillion
Our rulers are contemplating changing the regulations that would require banks to TRIPLE the amount they “hoard”.
Let the AFL-CIO hire their own members using their own dues.
When there is a National Right to Work Law and Unions become voluntary social organizations. Hiring will be a whole lot more likely.
Thrumka sounds like an Ayn Rand villain.
Union thugs lecturing about economic treason-—next up, Bill Clinton lectures about Hollywood’s improper sexual themes.
Economic treason!
He must have heard those words used before describing unionista activity. Where else would they be needed?
The tail once again trying to wag the dog.

There will be no jobs til OBAMA is gone...
“the rich” really need to Go Galt like there is no tomorrow!
Screw him. Who in their right mind would hire someone dedicated to the destruction of the business that would employ them? There is a reason, that except for finance, no company headquartered in NY state ever leads their respective industry. Its called unions - dems - unions - dem legislation for the sole benefit of unions. It is beyond me how any state that entitles unions over the general population can in any way claim they treat their citizens equally. Why this doesn’t become the new CIVIL RIGHTS crusade is beyond me. You have to be a member of a union to get a job? Where is the ACLU on this?
Anyone that hires without a definite need for that person should be locked up!
Business aren’t in business to provide employment!
Some reports out there from “unnamed White House insiders” indicate that Obama is actually embracing a conspiracy theory that business is deliberately not hiring because “they are out to get me”. Sounds like the AFL-CIO has embraced that bit of tin-foil sophistry.
