Take a quick break from speculating about the outcome of the elections this November. There is a new topic that is causing quite a bit of speculation: just what did Kiran Chetry of CNN's American Morning do last Wednesday that caused co-host John Roberts to pause in the middle of introducing guest David Axelrod and snap at her in a fit of extreme irritability? Almost as funny watching it on TV was the fact that the moment was officially recorded in CNN's transcripts:
DAVID AXELROD, SENIOR ADVISER TO PRESIDENT OBAMA: Thank you for having me.
ROBERTS: Let me ask you first of all, David, before we get into the -- excuse me. You would mind not doing that while I'm talking? Thank you. I appreciate that. If you don't mind.
David if, I could just Terry Jones and this Quran burning that is planned for September 11th, what does the president think about that? Does the president -- is he as concerned about it as other members of his administration are?

That was so close to a new keyboard, computer screen and throwing way stained paperwork!

Several of the Fox babes have departed to what they thought were greener pastures (or their contracts didn’t get renewed) only to discover they had entered purgatory in the vast wasteland of the government controlled media.
She was actually holding a sign at him that said, “You really think you’re pretty, don’t you? This was also meant to get Fox’s attention for a possible return.
Is it certain he was “snapping” at his co-host and not some underling standing next to her? Perhaps a make-up artist coming up to fix her hair? It just seems strange that he would reprimand a co-host that way, especially on the air. I could see it with a member of the crew though.

She used to have a morning show on FOX then bailed out for CNN. Beautiful girl!
I haven’t seen her since whe went to CNN. Something to do with slumming.

That being said, because it MUST be said... it actually could have been a production assistant messing with sound equipment or changing the set that distracted him. Maybe not Chetry at all.
There’s a YouTube of her, caught coming back from a commercial break, of her working on a Rubic’s Cube.
Well, now, that would be annoying.
Or maybe pulling out the NY Times crossword while Mr. R. was TAlKing.
I agree PJ. He should have toughed it up and spoken to her in a break. Lord knows there are enough breaks on those TV shows.
It was unclassy and a little petulant to have called her on it on air.
Kiran decked out for Halloweenm
I thought she got into trouble at Fox for making some crack (NPI) about Bush and cocaine.
Whoever it was who annoyed John (and it’s pretty obvious it was Kiran) it doesn’t excuse his on-air snit fit.
She substituted on Fox and Friends and when one of the regular blonds got her own show later on the day, Kiran was bypassed for another blond for the regular slot. CNN then oferred her the anchor on the competing slot.
Since we don’t have Fox down here I tolerate American Morning only because of Kiran. She’s NOT GUILTY.

That was the most polite and calm “fit of extreme irritability” I’ve ever seen.
LOL. I was on “Fox and Friends” in the summer of 2006 with her and Tiki Barber, and she is incredibly cute beyond belief. And a total ice cube. Not interesting at all.
