Conservative activists across the cyber world are rallying behind a Palm Beach State College student whose Young Americans for Freedom organization was booted out of a campus club event last week.
The group's Florida chapter posted a video on its website showing a police officer asking PBSC student Christina Beattie to remove her table at a campus rush event, where student clubs recruit new members.
Beattie and the organization's Florida president, Daniel Diaz, were displaying literature critical of President Obama's healthcare legislation, stimulus program and the nation's "unsustainable welfare state."
While the group said its first amendment rights were violated by a pro-Obama college administration, the school said the group simply didn't follow rules.

Palm Beach State College officials had one student and two group organizers of Florida Young Americans for Freedom (YAF) including one CampusReform.org field representative escorted off campus after discovering the group was handing out material from theHeritage Foundation that was critical of President Obamas economic policy.
Christina Beattie, a Palm Beach State student, received permission to table for the group in June from Ms. Morris-Ford, a college administrator. Ms. Morris-Ford called Christina two days after receiving her email and gave Christina permission to gather and recruit students at the colleges club rush. But when Ms. Morris-Ford saw the Heritage Foundation material, she changed her mind.
An article, written by WorldNetDailys Bob Unruh, quotes a university spokeswoman, Grace Truman, den[ying] that there were any clubs recruiting who should not have been there and that Ford-Morris looked at anything on the YAF table.
The university is trying to discredit the groups account by denying that Ms. Morris-Ford ever looked at the clubs material, but the YouTube video (above) reveals Ms. Morris-Ford clutching a New Guard pamphlet at 1:36 in the video. The New Guard is Young Americans for Freedoms publication.
Ms. Morris-Fords Facebook profile has also come under fire as the content on her page is a solid indication of her liberal ideology. Barack Obama and Michael Moore are plastered on her page and several media outlets have jumped to point this out. Further investigation has shown that Ms. Morris-Ford has been a registered Democrat for seven years and has not missed an election since her registration on October 22, 2002.

Nice lawsuit. They need to find that anti-ACLU public interest law group and sue the pants off the school and the administrator.
Next time have a Koran on the table too. Then see what they do.
Has this been reported to FIRE (Foundation for Individual Rights in Education)? Their website is www.thefire.org.
When Beattie joined Diaz and Shaffer, in a testy exchange caught on video, Morris-Ford said she never talked to Beattie on the phone.
I need you to move your stuff. Period, Morris-Ford says on the video. You are not authorized.
When contacted at her office, Morris-Ford declined to comment on the incident. Theres two sides to every story, she said. I would love to tell you, but I cant.
Other college representatives offered a few more details, but also contradicted each other.
Basically, they were asked to leave because they were not a campus club, said Grace Truman, director of relations and marketing for Palm Beach State College.
Don Miller, a campus security guard who was present at the fair, said, I was there, but nobody got escorted out. They werent even asked to leave.
I just wish they had brought the e-mail to the event. When students face the prospect of an encounter with the leftist campus establishment thought police it is good to have your paper record at hand.
