Well in MOST cases that's true. J.D. Hayworth did not support McCain and while I don't like McCain at all I now feel Hayworth needs to grow up.
Excellent point.
It’s a lot like the Republican primary in NJ that Christie won over the “true conservative” Lonegan. I like Lonegan and voted for him... and after he lost the primary, he strongly urged everyone to get behind Christie. Even pointed out that he, Lonegan, and his supporters were forcing Christie to be more conservative.
All in all, Lonegan showed total class and clear thinking. He hasn’t gone away and is doing pretty much what Sarah is doing nationally, on a state-wide level. Now millions of people all over the country, not just in NJ, are cheering Christie.
If McCain had run a campaign on the issues and his record instead of constantly attacking J.D. I could see your point. How do you support a man who attacked you in the way McCain did Hayworth?
Please provide a link to an article that says Hayworth is running as a write-in candidate. I'm waiting with baited breath.
There is a huge difference between someone saying they do not support a candidate and switching parties or running as a write-in after losing.
I don’t support McCain either and can’t see how anyone who calls themselves a conservative could.
JD offered a very gracious concession speech and kept his followers from booing McCain. McCain didn’t need JD’s endorsement, McCain will get 3/4 of the democrat vote in Arizona and everyone knows it.
But he did the next best thing which is shut up.
I understand if someone honestly feels that he can not support the candidate but at that point he should quietly fade into the back ground until the next election. To do otherwise is petty and spiteful.
McCain’s not a Republican. Sorry, he just isn’t.
