Abolishing the corporate income tax will increase the deficit unless you have some real cuts in spending to go with it.

Maybe.

Abolishing the corporate income tax will make American companies more competitive, enabling them to hire more workers who will pay taxes. And the increased exports will bring home more dollars to slosh around in the economy spurring growth.

Or just bump their profits and increase their share price.

Jim DeMint is the junior Senator from South Carolina. That is South Carolina's flag. More info here.

I will probably get flamed for this, but I think the “We the People” movement needs to ditch the idea of “Republican” totally. The name “Republican” is just as soiled and stinky as the name “Democrat”.

****************

Agreed. Short term though, we need to use the GOP. See how they do after 2010 but start working some alternative plan beginning November 3, should that be necessary.

Last call. The train is leaving the station.

Think of the Republican Party as a bucket: we don’t need what’s in it now, but empty it might come in handy.

LOL! Excellent! I will buy that analogy!

I'm with you, and for that matter, here are my thoughts:

1) No fence needed, just close any employers who are found employing illegals.....no work, they all leave.

2) Make drugs legal for anyone older than 18, heroin, cocaine, marijuana, etc. It will quickly act in a darwinian way to rid our society of all those who are pre-disposed to substance abuse. Make it free, and deliver it to where they live.

3) Immediately announce to the Chinese that we are now going to participate in the trade war they've been waging against us for the last 20 years. No more chinese imports, without a 100% tarriff. That will quickly empty all the shelves at our nearest walmart, but oh well, we'll all survive. At least until our own industries gear up and produce those things we need. Free trade only works, if its approached in a fair manner, and one side doesn't manipulate their currency such that they slowly, but surely bleed our industries towards bankruptcy.

4) Begin thorough investigations of all the TARP and stimulus funds, it should be child's play to prosecute thousands of crooked democratic beaurocrats. Should also be fairly easy to snag quite a few union crooks in these investigations.

5) Make it a federal requirement that picture ID is needed to vote. If you show up at the polls without an ID, we will allow you to vote but your identity will be checked, and you will be photographed at the polls.

6) Begin immediate hearings, and investigations into the people and organizations that have been overtly subverting our constitution.

7) Require any colleges that receive federal funding to have a diversity of staff, particularly in political perspectives. No more entirely far-left staffs at colleges that are paid for with my tax dollars.

8) Send a map to Iran, with circles drawn on their cities, with dates on each city. Tell them they will end their nuclear program, or on each date on the map, that city will dissappear. It will give them time to evacuate each city, and they can deal with the refugees. This will continue, until they renounce nuclear research and development, or their country, will cease to exist. I have many more, but this should be a good start.

“On September 15, 1775, the local Revolutionary Council of Safety in Charleston drafted then Colonel Moultrie to prepare a flag to display at Fort Johnson on Sullivan’s Island. British war ships waded outside of the port of Charleston, preparing to attack the city.

Inside the fort, the First and Second South Carolina Regiments marshaled forces to prepare for the bombardment and turn back the British invasion.

According to General Moultrie’s memoirs, a flag was needed for the purpose of “signals” to direct American forces during the imminent siege. No national or state flag existed at that time.

Moultrie looked out on his troops and saw they were “clothed in blue” and “wore a silver crescent on the front of their caps.

“I had a large flag made with a crescent on the dexter corner, to be in uniform with the troops,” Moultrie wrote. “This was the first American flag, which was displayed in South Carolina.”

I have been hearing the same nonsense for years about the death of the GOP. The same threats of “one last chance”, but let’s be honest: We will always vote Republican because they are better than the alternative.

I’m tired of everyone that screams “We can’t have a third party” DeMint is correct, this is the GOPs last chance, and if they faulter, I hope DeMint leads the way to forming a third party.
