Chris Coons: Volunteer for Liberation Theology (MSM: O'Donnell-Witch, Coons-no comment)

Breaking News Chris Coons: Volunteer for Liberation Theology

By Jeffrey Lord on 9.20.10 @ 6:09AM

Uh-oh.

Here we go again.

Chris Coons, the freshly minted Democrat selected as Tea Party favorite and Republican nominee Christine O'Donnell's opponent in the Delaware U.S. Senate race traveled to Africa in the 1980s -- emerging as a committed leftist after volunteering for an organization supporting Black Liberation Theology.

The controversial religious philosophy espoused by radical left-wing activist James Cone and President Obama's one-time spiritual mentor the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Black Liberation Theology is an off-shoot of liberation theology, a Marxist-driven interpretation of Christianity.

And the liberal media -- alarmed at O'Donnell's success and busily running all manner off stories designed to portray her as a right-wing crazy -- has suddenly gone missing on Coons. Silent on a stunning revelation that could prove uniquely fatal to Chris Coons' Senate candidacy in the year of Tea Party rebellion against the Obama Administration's agenda of wealth redistribution.

The Washington Post curiously says of Coons in their Coons profile only that he "spent time in South Africa and Kenya doing relief work." The New York Times never mentions Coons' work in Africa, choosing instead to describe him as an attorney and mentioning only his work with the homeless, the Investor Responsibility Center, and the "I Have a Dream" Foundation. Plus his educational background, a B.A. from Amherst, a law degree from Yale and a Master's in Ethics from Yale Divinity School.

Yet nary a word from the Times about the now-New Castle County Executive spending time in South Africa or Kenya.

The media sees nothing wrong with liberation theology, so why should anyone consider that newsworthy is the MSM elites’ “thinking.” Just like “John McCain doesn’t know how many homes he owns! SCANDAL OF THE CENTURY!” as versus “Obama is close friends with a terrorist. Nothing to see here. Move on.”

If you read the rest of the article you’ll understand the sentence in context.

"A hint -- and perhaps more than a hint since the Coons campaign states flatly in the Politico article that Coons' time in Africa turned him into a left-winger -- comes in, of all places, Wikipedia. There, before he became famous overnight as O'Donnell's opponent, it states flatly that after graduating from college in 1985 and working in Washington -- where he wrote a book on South Africa -- Coons' time in Africa was spent doing more than simply attending the University of Nairobi in Kenya"

"TO THE SCREENSHOTMOBILE, ROBIN!"

Do the people of Delaware want and Obamao clone representing them, driving up the cost of healthcare, raising taxes, losing jobs and wasting the future of their children and grandchildren, because that is what they are going to get if they elect Coons. We don’t need another anti American radical.

Christopher A. Coons
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Professional career
After college, Coons worked in Washington, D.C., for the Investor Responsibility Research Center, where he wrote a book on South Africa and the U.S. divestment movement. He then worked as a volunteer for the South African Council of Churches and as a relief worker in Kenya, before returning to the U.S. to work for the Coalition for the Homeless in New York. In 1992, he earned his J.D. degree from Yale Law School, and a master's degree in Ethics from Yale Divinity School.[4]

I know. I had to read that sentence a couple times. Very poorly constructed sentence.

Christine needs to tie this guy in every way possible to Obama and Wright. zer0 is radioactive now but there are elements of his past that are even more distasteful and this is front and center.

From the article:

“Much is being made of a college-era paper in which Coons claims he jokingly used the description of himself as “The Bearded Marxist.” As Politico described back in May, Coons said of his time in Kenya.

“[I]t is only too easy to return from Africa glad to be American and smugly thankful for our wealth and freedom,” added Coons. “Instead, Amherst had taught me to question, so in turn I questioned Amherst, and America.”

We read you, Coons, loud and clear.

Here’s one jugular.

Pres. Obama’s Mother-in-law is in the White House, cutting off chicken heads and practicing Sangria (not the wine drink, stupid, the Caribbean VooDoo)!

Actually, Mama Marion Robinson is trying to put the curse on Christine O’Donnell.

MY Bad, folks. It’s Santaria.

On second thought, Sangria would be better.

This guys history as a marxist needs to be brought up over and over again. If the media is going to carry Coons water for him the Tea Party should run a bunch of ads bringing this home and maybe a couple people like Palin or Demint can run their mouths about it at some rallies. Make it impossible to ignore it.

My hope that Palin, O’Donnell, Hannity, Rush, Levin, Beck, and co. address this.

Karl Rove is helping Chris Coons by aiding the witchhunt against Christine O’Donnell.

Rove has just shown his hand. As far as I’m concerned, Rove is one of them; the enemy. Strong language, but conservatives need to know who is fighting for their principles, and who is protecting their liberty and freedom. Coons isn’t, and if Rove is going to align himself with Coons by way of this strategy, than he is endeavoring to deny us our liberty and freedom.
