I know I agree but after Fort Hood if it was an off base shooting I was thinking they were being extra cautious.But it sounds like on base.

I trained at Ft. Bliss too before deploying to Iraq. Good training, not much in the way of creature comforts. The barracks we used dated back to the horse cavalry days.

Fort Bliss officials said the shooter was dead. The FBI is investigating. The post was not put on lockdown.

I know EXACTLY where that BK is—its on Cassidy road, right near a convenience store and by the Wells Fargo Bank—both of which are real close to the PX. Spent more than a year there (4/2007 to 5/2008) while my son was deployed to Korea—often took my two grandsons to the BK.
