O'Donnell Witch Hunt

Politics: The GOP's chosen nominee for senator from Delaware is being asked to defend comments about the occult. Hey, it's not as if she "dabbled" in the KKK or Marxism or seanced with a very dead Eleanor Roosevelt.

Be careful whom you date in high school or what you dabble in to humor a boyfriend. Those skeletons in your closet may come back to haunt you, particularly if you become a conservative Tea Party candidate fighting to stop creeping socialism in America.

Last Friday, comedian Bill Maher, whose cable show "Real Time" is considered by liberals as a real news source (unlike, say, Fox News), dug up and showed an 11-year-old interview from 1999 in which O'Donnell, then 30 years old, said she "dabbled in witchcraft" because she "hung around people who were doing these things" in high school.

O'Donnell graduated from Moorestown (N.J.) High School in 1987, a dozen years before the Maher appearance. If political candidates are to be judged by what they did or hung with in high school, we are taking the vetting process to extremes.

Two days later, pundit Karl Rove, whose primary night critique of O'Donnell caused a stir, was on "Fox News Sunday" saying: "In Delaware, where there are a lot of churchgoing people, they're going to want to know what this is all about."

Perhaps, but they also want to know about her position on the repeal of ObamaCare and extending the Bush tax cuts.

It’s a lot harder to have to keep buying new politicians

Moreover, someone else might get the first buy and they you are out of it.

I asked the other day if Bill Maher was MIA? Thought the Democrats had gone silent into a self-presevation mode. Who’s left to interview when in hiding.

Less money is being spent for winners--Tea Party backed candidates are not spending the big money like their competition, heck some aren't even backed by our own Party. The Republican, Le Page,[Tea party backed] running for governor in Maine only spent $160,000. The runner up, Otten (good candidate nevertheless) same party over million of his own. The left is lagging behind in double digits! but Bill Clinton is coming or came..to push an old Democrat into the office, Libby Mitchell-D, who runs on her green and white signage.

Congresswoman Chellie Pingree, can't get any more liberal as a Democrat and is getting big outside money to remain in the Senate against a popular new comer to the seat Dean Scontras who did get Rudy G to visit and speak at a fund raiser. This guy could go far.

Pingree in her very first race lost as Tom Daschel came to Maine back then to support. First time on the scene, Scontras lost in the last gubernatorial race against the incumbent governor Baldacci-Maine; but the incumbent, Baldacci lost by 60% as was a 3-way, Independent; but took the one or two points to win.

People need to pay attention to Maine--Maine has been under control by liberals for 30 years.

Help change Maine

My nephew is a genuine libnut idiot and you’re right... he gets his news from jon Stewart and Bill Maher. Both far far far more cynical than Rush Limbaugh... but these types just don’t get it. But nephew doesn’t defend BeHO so much anymore.... seems the CHANGE wasn’t the change he had hoped for.

Watching the clip he played.. his panel ridiculed her appearance as much as her comments. The entire episode was meant to belittle and diminish this woman ... made so obvious that Maher was left looking like a complete moron.

I'll be shocked if she wins the DE election - she's got too much "video"of wacky statements ie: mice/human brains ?

the thing that is most amazing in all of this is how the GOP and the dims missed the opportunity to release all of this stuff before the primary. IF she would've won it despite all of the baggage - then I would wonder about the water in DE.....
